This is a very bright, solar-powered, outdoor light that at full brightness is more than capable of lighting up a large patio area.The light slots into the end of a short metal pole which passes through a fixing bracket that can be either secured to a post by two metal straps, or into a wall by 4 screws. The light is quite heavy (935g) and the total length of the fixture from the end of the light to the fixing bracket is 62cm, so the top screws need to be very secure. The installation instructions are almost useless, but thankfully it's not that difficult to just work it out.A remote control offers several options of usage:1) Light turns on at Dusk2) Light turns on at Dusk and reacts to movement with high brightness3) Off except when movement detected (high)4) 2H of continuous light, then only ON when movement detected5) 4H of continuous light, then only ON when movement detectedThe light can only be charged by sunlight, but both faces of the light are apparently receptive to light, so it recharges quite rapidly.Fully charged, the light lasts all night on Option 1. I cannot yet comment on how weatherproof it is.For installations not easily reached with mains power, this light provides an attractive and powerful solution.
