Love it
I have 3b-4a hip length (when straightened) hair that is coarse and very thick. I bought this just for a few reasons. One of them being, I wanted to stop scratching my scalp so much when washing my hair, because I was worried about damaging my scalp. I also wanted to help stimulate my scalp to encourage new growth, and make it easier on my fingertips each wash day. I always try to get my scalp as clean as possible so my protective styles or wash and gos can last as long as possible. I also exercise 5 days a week so having a clean scalp is essential for me to not be miserable throughout the week....I was worried that I would regret not buying an expensive shampoo brush. Girl, no. I just bought another one for my teenage daughters. I love this thing. I did not have a problem reaching my scalp through my hair at all which was my concern with how thick my hair is. Right away it did not touch my scalp when I pressed it to my wet hair, but I would use circular motions to lather my shampoo or work in my co-wash then run it in a downward motion down my scalp, then repeat all over my head. It did not tangle or create knots, and I found the stiffness of the bristles to be perfect. I didn't want them to feel too soft and feel like I was ineffectively cleansing my scalp. I used to try and massage my head with my denman brush but the bristles were too small and it felt too much like scratching, but this is perfect. I have used it VERY gently on my 3 year old and she likes it as well. My teenagars have straight hair but dandruff issues, but I think they will enjoy this. IMHO if you enjoy getting your scalp rubbed and massaged and you like to get all up in there, try this. I want to stock up my closet with these.Update 11/20/18 I still absolutely love this product. I use it every week when I wash my hair and then I leave it in my shower window until next week. It has yet to show any signs of mold or mildew, in fact it still looks brand spankin new. I have found over the past year that the easiest way to use this is to rub my scalp in up and down motions all over my scalp, one section at a time. To get the thickest parts of my hair, I part my hair down the middle and then work my way from the part line to my ears, in up and down motions. My scalp feels so clean without feeling stripped. I use this with Shea Moisture Low Porosity Shampoo and it feels tingly. This is my favorite part of wash day.

Wins over the Scalpmaster
I thought it would be helpful to compare the Zyllion product to the Scalpmaster, Scalpmaster Shampoo Brush Lot of 2 . Pardon the "used" nature of the Scalpmaster in the pics :)As you can see the bristles on the Scalpmaster are more abundant and more closely spaced. They are of reasonably hard plastic, measure just under a millimeter in diameter, and about a centimeter in length. The Zyllion bristles are thicker, softer, and longer. They are made of flexible silicone. Between the two, I heavily favor the Zyllion product.Zyllion pros:- the softer bristles are MUCH better on a sensitive scalp- the generous spacing between the bristles makes it easier to use on thick coarse hair- easier to get down to the scalp with the longer bristles- the hair that collects on the brush rinses off easily and doesn't get trappedZyllion cons:- hard to hang up on something in the shower- will take a little longer to cover the whole scalp because of fewer bristles- can get a little slippery if your hand is covered in shampooScalpmaster Pros:- hmmmm, bigger loop so easier to hang on something? i'm reaching here...Scalpmster Cons:- the thin hard plastic isn't pleasant on a sensitive scalp- the bristle layout is so dense the brush get stuck in thick hair- since the bristles are so short it's hard to even reach the scalp, it becomes a two hand operation, one parts the hair and the other scrubs with the brush, who has that kind of time? i have armpits to wash- since the bristle layout is so dense, the trapped hair doesn't wash off easily and is a pain to remove, as can be seen on the picsIf you have thick hair and a reasonably sensitive scalp, I would go with the Zyllion. If you have fine hair and a bulletproof scalp, I would still go with the Zyllion.

Really like it!
I have seborrheic dermatitis and bought this to help get the flakes / build up off my medium length very fine hair. Since there were no directions I just kinda winged it, at first trying to do circular motions resulted on hair getting tangled and pulled. Next time I tried it in the shower after applying shampoo to my hair in very small Z like patterns, and that worked better for me. I also tried short downward strokes, short being 1-2 inch strokes, and my hair won't tangle or pull.I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because if your not careful your hair will pull and no one likes that... but once you get into the groove of it this brush will really help. The bumps and flakes have reduced after 3 uses by about 80%. For me the tight Z pattern or the short downward strokes work best.

Annoying dandruff that won’t go away?? Look no further, stop what you’re doing and buy this...
As someone who’s hair is so dark that it’s almost black, dandruff is my literal nightmare. I’ve tried the shampoos, the hair masks, the pinterest diy’s and just couldn’t get rid of it. Well not anymore, folks! This thing is magic. Like, little fairies are scrubbing my head and I have no more dandruff, magic. It’s crazy. This think scrubs away product buildup and dandruff like nobody’s business. I want to kick myself for spending so much money on “scalp purifying” and “dandruff eliminating” products that maybe worked for a day, tops. I’ve used this twice now, and have taken full advantage of wearing my dark brown locks down and don’t have to worry about the daunting “can people notice my dandruff?” question that was constantly going through my mind.I use this with Ouai’s Scalp and Body Scrub (smells heavenly) and my normal shampoo and just use gentle “z” strokes and for my more dandruff prone spots, I apply more pressure and do circular motions. Not sure why some reviews said their hair gets knotted, I have super thick hair and don’t seem to have that problem. Maybe if you have naturally curly, thick hair that is prone to knotting pre-shower, I wouldn’t suggest this for you. But overall, best purchase I’ve made for my hair thus far. If it breaks, I’d prime another one in 5 seconds.
