I (ice) skated as a child and returned as an adult, over 25 years later. I'm regaining my skills and wouldn't think of trying a jump (right now anyway). As a child, I didn't think much about how a fall would or could hurt me, but as an adult I sure do.I wear these shorts under fleece pants, which I always use for skating. These do add some bulk to my rear, but after having 2 falls while wearing these shorts, I don't care at all. After both falls, one on my hip and one on my rear, I got right up. The falls simply did not hurt and I had no bruises. Love these shorts and have recommended them to a friend as well.

I purchased the same one 2 years ago and I really like it. Now my daughter growing out of it so I decided to reorder the same one with bigger size. It just came today, and honestly, this one had nothing to compare with the one I purchased 2 years ago. The materials is cheap, the stripe pad inside is cheap foam. And I believe it been used. For $80 something with shipping fee. I except more that a cheap Walmart regular short with some inserts thin cheap foam. Not just that, one of the foam piece is not fit enough with pockets. I am returning it tomorrow.Last picture is the stripe insert foam I got 2 years ago. If you compare, you know what am talking about.

These ripped before my daughter could put them on.I want my money back!The only reason I put 1 star is because they did not let me post with zero stars.This is a rip off and I want my $75 dollars back!!!I have been trying to make contact for some time now.

Got this for my 6 year old daughter to help while she's learning inline skating. We went by the sizing chart and it recommends Xsmall, but the waist was too constricting for her so we sized up to a small. The small fits a lot better. This seller was excellent about exchanging and shipped incredibly fast and communication was great. It's not a whole lot of padding but still enough that it helps absorb the brunt of the falls, and it's pretty slim fitting so she can still wear loose clothing on top of it without people knowing she has it on - which she really likes.

BEWARE. If you've bought this product in the past couple years and are expecting the same thing, same quality — forget it. These shorts are flimsy, cheap, and padded with weird, styrofoam-like strips. The padding strips in the prior version of these shorts were substantial and effective. Absolute rip-off.

Didn't fit but manufacturer took them back.

Keeps my bum bruise free!

Stopping the black and blue bruises on my grand daughter's posterior.
