Indoors it should work even better.
I put it in my mailbox out front and it has no issue talking to my wifi. As soon as I get the notification on my phone I take a lunch break and pick up the mail. Indoors it should work even better.

Not Happy with this product
Taking forever to pair. I follow the instructions, using the recommended device ( router; 2.4 GHZ , right version of ios and android ) i bought 2, the other one take almost 1 1/2 hr to pair, need to restart the router and phone and take out the battery of the device in order to get connected, and finally it worked, but after 30 notifications it quit working. And I need to erase the device on my profile and add start all over again so can use your device again. This product will make you frustrated. Until now the other device i cannot pair it.

Works, but not for the long run.
Worked great for about 4 months. Then the batteries dies and I had to replace them. I could not get it to sync to WiFi again after that.

Works, but no support
I got one of these a year ago and the installation went well, it worked. But I quickly noticed that it only recorded the last 30 time stamps. So after you open/close the door or window 30+ times, you lose the old data. No Bayit has no IFTTT integration and no APIs published.The worst issue is that there's no support. I've tried SO MANY TIMES to open tickets on their site and they just don't reply. There's no way to get in touch with anyone.About 4 months ago my sensor stopped recording data. The iPhone app shows a red exclamation mark, but no troubleshooting steps beyond that.In summary+ Easy to install+ Works- Stores limited data- No API/integration- Support unresponsive- In my case, it stopped working

Don’t buy it or mark my words you’ll be sorry
Worked spuratically for about a year then lost contact, replaced batteries and it will not re pair no mater what I do! And just try creating a support ticket or contacting them for help, it been total radio silence from bayitSense sense, they are real bad business people, look for another device !!!

No long sold or used by parent companyy
Can no longer be used because the app requires a qr code that is not part of the door sensor package.

Los 2 que compré dejaron de funcionar después de 4 meses, no malgasten su dinero.
Funcionó muy bien unos meses, después en la app me aparecía una señal roja en el icono del sensor. Pensé que eran las pilas, las reemplazé y ya nunca pude volver a sincronizar el sensor con la wifi. Lo intenté decenas de veces. El soporte de la app es un fraude, te piden sacar un turno y jamás respondieron. Envié un mail y tampoco tuve respuesta. Los vendedores en México tampoco me pudieron ayudar. No recomiendo comprarlo. Tengo otro sensor que adquirí un mes antes de que el primero que dejara de funcionar. Seguramente al terminarse la batería pasará igual que con el primero que compre. Dinero a saco roto.
