Great filter
This is a really great product. The filter catches anything that will get into my gas tank. Baldwin filters are the best and always reasonable on the price.

Quality filter makes a happy truck!
I just recently purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 Cummins diesel engine in it. After joining a bunch of forums, reading posts on various sites, and asking some local shops, the majority of everyone I came across recommended this Baldwin PF7977 fuel filter when changing out the stock fuel filter with the stock fuel system on my truck. I guess it is a common problem with the diesel engine in my truck that the stock fuel filter it comes with doesn't filter out to much of the garbage in the fuel such as contaminants or water and it will eventually make it's way to the injectors causing them to fail along with other engine problems. This fuel filter I believe it said was a 5 micron filter which is the absolute best for the fuel filtration on a 2005 Dodge 2500 along with the quality Baldwin brand. It was super easy to install and made my truck run 10x better, I recommend everyone changing their fuel filters with every other oil change just to be safe than sorry and to keep your truck happy. One small thing I noticed about this in the label it states it is a spin on filter when in fact it is a clip in filter that just snaps into place.

Fits and works like a champ 2004 Ram 3500 5.9 Cummins
Original owner of 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 with 5.9 Cummins diesel engine. Could not find any fleetguard fuel filters locally, so jumped on Amazon and came across these Baldwin 5 micron filters while the fleetguard are rated at 7 micron rating. Looked up Badwin filters and a respected brand so I ordered a 2-pack which was cheaper than 1 fleetguard filter ordered online. After 3 months of install, quite pleased with this filter. Seems to be just as good If not better than OEM and retail Fleetguard and cheaper. Give these filters a thumbs up.

Perfect for 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 Cummins
Great quality filter for the price. Lot's of quality media in this one. Used on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 with the 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel. Flipped the yellow drain tab and let the diesel drain into my oil pan, then used a 1 1/8" socket to get the filter top off (it's plastic so go easy). Make sure you remove the old filter cap o-ring and use the one that comes with this one (mine came with a bright yellow one so can't miss it). There are tabs holding the filter in so just gently pull it back away from the cap and release it. Make sure you install the new one with the hole pointing away from the cap. Go easy on the cap when you are tightening it back down. I did as much as I could by hand then gave it a gentle tug with the socket as they're just plastic threads. Now make sure you flip the yellow plastic drain tab back. I'm pretty sure the truck would start on the first go, but I do the "turn ignition to on, wait 5 seconds then off to prime" repeated 3 times and it started up immediately.

One of the Best Fuel Filters Available
If you drive a diesel powered car or truck you need to consider using Baldwin fuel filters. How much did you pay for your diesel "Baby"? Mine cost $35K in 2004. Today, engine fuel system repair/replacement costs are out of sight! Solid particulate and water found in 99.9% of diesel fuel are your fuel system's worst enemy. In my opinion, most OEM fuel filters do a poor job at best. To eliminate the risk that the OEM filter posed to my truck and pocketbook, I did some serious research, contacting numerous filter manufacturers. Most of them were happy to provide a variety of requested technicl data, verbally and printed (e-docs mostly). Bottom Line: I shifted to Baldwin and replace them every 9 months, 400 hours of operation or 15,000 miles ... whichever comes first. If I my routine source of diesel is trashing my filter (water and/or particulate), I search for another source and start replacing filters sooner. Do some research and I expect that you will put Baldwin filters will be on your Top 3 List..

Good quality
Good fit for my Jetta,

Seems to be genuine
I was skeptical of buying this filter on Amazon because it is a highly sought after filter and a lot of counterfeit filters being made. This one appear to be legit as it came in the Baldwin box and had all the usual markings. I bought from Buyers Lair. From what I've read from other users, they seem to sell legitimate products. I will definitely order again.
