UT Kilts Coyote Fur Kilt Sporran for Men, Belt Pouch with REMOVED Chain, Kilt Accessories

This review is for the semi-formal sporran.This thing is awesome. The fur looks and feels great. lots of space inside. Amazing!The closure is Velcro. Much better than a snap imho.The stitching is fine and the leather is nice. The piece that makes up the back and flap is nice and thick while the the leather that makes up the sides is soft and supple.There is plenty of space in this, I can fit a large cell phone, wallet, keys, large pocket knife with a room to spare. It also packs down nice and flat when its empty.The only thing that's not perfect is the chain. This one does not have soldered links and there were several links that were very sharp and could catch on and damage fabric. You could use some 400 grit sandpaper to smooth things out, or just spend another 20 bucks and buy a proper sporran chain.

The snap could have been better

Color me impressed, I ordered the semi formal and really is a good looking sporran, and for under 40 bucks?! The supplied belt works great for me (waist 34). I dont know the difference between the formal and semi formal, but mine is exactly like the stock picture with the thistle and three danglers (technician term in sure).Followed the other reviewers advice and brushed it down a lot, as it sheds quite a bit, but the fur is thick with no thin spots. Snap and leather are tight, but I think that's good.Happily would buy again, and it goes well with my UT black watch kilt. Well done guys.

This is a very nice sporran I'm glad to have purchased. The velcro clasp is was to use. My only complaint is that the chains are not all that cool, and the buckle stem is sharp so it can dig into other clothing and/or chair upholstery. I replaced them with (2) 17" Ruth&Boaz Solid Brass Twisted Keychains which work & look so much better and are available on both Amazon & ebay for ~$20 each.

TL;DR VERY NICE sporran for the price. Far exceeded my expectations.Real coyote fur and the body of it is about an 1/8" of leather with a nice lining of some satin material witch helps to hold things in place inside the sporran. comes with a one size fits all chain and strap, ended up having to cut in down and even after adjusting the chains but not a big deal to me if anything I own doesn't get some form of customization from me I don't care for it very much anyway.

This sporran arrived on time with Amazon Prime in just 2-days. It is larger than the one sold standard by SportKilt.com. It is spacious and easily opened by Velcro instead of metal buttons. It is course and textured Coyote fur with brilliant grey, black and tan coloration patterns. The Scottish Thistle is a nice accent for the sporran and is large and easily visible. This will be a much anticipated addition to the semi-formal highland party goer. Sure to please!

For the money, it’s a great piece. Seems well constructed, and looks fantastic. I’m not thrilled with the large patch of velcro to close it, and may install a latch. Also, it initially smelled plasticky, and some fur shedded. The leather is certainly not the best. But until you’re willing to shell out big bucks for a handmade leather sporran, this will do just fine.

It came on time, I received compliments on how nice it looked. There was plenty of room inside for my keys, credit cards and cash. I walked to an Irish Wolf Hound at the festivities and could not understand why it was so friendly until I remembered it was real live coyote fur which the dog apparently had a fondness for. I had to leave before it decided to eat and run.
