Loved this book. Beautifully written and beautifully illustrated. Highly recommend!

As a Children's Genre Book, of a childhood experience of sadness due to the death of her beloved dad, Author Danni Blechner has crafted a story that can be emotionally understood by a child; as well used as a tool by a teacher, parent, child therapists or adult carer to support children through bereavement and loss of a parent or significant adult. If not the spiritual connections between Samara, the pigeon and her dad, whose death was not recent; children can relate to Piper, Samara's pet that made her smile again. Highly recommended to schools, families, children's homes, libraries, special bereavement children’s practitioners, Social Services and Women's Refuges resources. For a child, the loss of a parent by estrangement from separation, can also benefit from this real-life, and beautifully illustrated story.

I attended the '9 Days of Piper Snow' book launch with my 5year old niece and it was such a lovely intimate event. I purchased a signed copy of the book for my niece and she loves it! She has chosen it as her bedtime story for 3 nights I a row. She said “I know who wrote this book, Danni!” She just loves it! She said she likes that Piper came into Samara‘s bedroom and made her happy. Danni has done a really good job with her debut children’s book. My niece says she’s going to write a book about a lonely giraffe… thank you Danni for inspiring her

I loved it and so did my grandson - a story for all ages! I’d recommend this to anyone who has children for the lovely message, the rhyme scheme and the fact that my 3 year old grandson appreciates it time and time agian. Well done to the author for keeping the memory of loved ones alive.

A book inspired by a real-life pigeon. This is a fabulous read and perfectly pitched to captivate the imagination of children. The rhyming creates a lovely flow and the ending is truly magical. It could be an important book for helping children manage their grief but it is equally a brilliant entertaining story in of itself.

The story is beautifully written. It’s a heartwarming story that I found drew me in. I think adults can relate to it as much as children dealing sensitively with the emotional subject of grief. I bought this is as a gift for my Niece to read to her brother. The joy, happiness and smiles as my Niece delighted in ready to my Nephew was a pleasure to see. A wonderful book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Daniella Blechner's picture book. It is an entertaining and educational story that will help children deal with loss and grief. It will also teach them about friendship, kindness, and gratitude. Plus, the special bond between Samara and Piper Snow is beautifully brought to life by Victor Onyenobi's vibrant and eye-catching illustrations! A 34-page story that will surely appeal to young readers and anyone interested in reading children's literature. I highly recommend it.
