Right from “The American Dream Is Killing Me” — the first single and opening track from Saviors, Green Day is sending out a fiery SOS for these troubled times. Amazingly, Saviors represents Green Day's 14th studio album, yet somehow this enduring power trio -- Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool & Mike Dirnt -- remain devoted to their defiant craft that has fueled their career-long destruction of every boundary bestowed on the genre, and landed 3 East Bay punks in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Review: Fantastic - Not a bad song!great album from a great band Review: Possibly the best ever Green Day album... - Always loved Green Day and while I love Dookie and earlier stuff always considered American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown their master works. Albums after that were a bit mixed. And then came Saviors. OMG this is a stunning return to form. Not a weak track here. The standard of songwriting is stunning and the execution, fresh, vital, electric. The lyrics cutting edge, relevant. My album of the year, Awesome.
