It's exactly what is advertised. All I had to do was swap out the daughterboard from the original drive. It works perfectly

Product did not work. Switched board as directed and Soldered power wires as needed. No dice. Super loud while playing. Black plastic male tabs on front of player (see picture) not meant for my slims female plastic receivers. So the player would sit 1/2 inch back.

I purchased an Xbox One S used and was disappointed to find it wouldn't read discs. I ordered this new one, all I had to do was swap the original control board from the old drive to this one, basically 3 screws and solder 2 wires. Internally the drive looked identical and worked perfect. All formats play, game disc, Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray tested working!

Due to modifications that need to be done in order to replace your drive on your Xbox, although not too complicated, I give a lower rating to Xbox for design and actual product for failing within a month. Worked well initially the would not eject discs while reading the one already inserted. The seller is absolutely not at fault but the product being sold is questionable given necessary alterations.

This product is useless because the Xbox one s ( and other Xboxes too ) disc drives and consoles are cryptographically married such that replacement disc drives won't play games. They will drive DVDs but this is a gaming console not a DVD player.A clear warning should have been given when buying this product.Then I paid a local geek squad type service to install it . They said it didn't work either. Very displeased and that would be after returned for full credit.

It works. And it’s exactly what i ordered. I followed all the steps to make it work with my console. It just makes this weird sound when i start up my Xbox like it’s trying to pull in a disk. And I have to keep a disk in the drive or else every 10 minuets it makes that sound. It doesn’t do any damage to the disk though. So -1 star due to the weird noise.
