As dark as it is, it is still a great read
I could not put this book down and I am not a big fan of apocalyptic horror. But the characters are so deep and story just grabs you. On to book three.

Wonderful book
I am reading this on my kindle and I so thoroughly enjoy this whole series of book. The characters are well developed and the situation they find themselves in is not to fantastical. The couple of drawbacks I have are that I have been reading both the sunset on america series and the abandon series and they are very similar. What I have found more than a few times in both series is the same paragraph written back to back and at times missing words. I don’t know it is because of the transfer to kindle or just not seen in the editing process. It doesn’t lesson my enjoyment of the books. Just an unfortunate factKen

an Interesting Story
I believe this book has the goofiest prose and the most descriptive ways of describing of absolute terror. I did enjoy reading this collection of books.

Good Read
Excellent series. Characters you care about. A story that is hard to put down. It is difficult to wait for the next book in the series.

Keeps the characters real. I’ve read most of his work. It keeps getting better and better. Can’t wait until I download the next book in this series

Great read
Very good plot; love the characters, plenty of action, but with compassionate characters. Always appreciate books that make me want MORE!

All six in the series are home runs!
Same review for all six books in the series: Different, interesting, and great reads! My wife and several neighbors respect and approve of the very limited use of bad language. Gritty, raw and sometimes cringeworthy in the descriptions of the ugly aftermath of combat, and the necessary but hard decisions and actions that sometimes must be taken. I don't know much about Ryan's background, but he writes as if he's "been there". Can't wait to read more of his books...

Worth the read!
Some of the best fiction comes from real life world problems. Storytelling at its best.I found this book to be an entertaining, and thought provoking. It had me questioning as to what would happen next. Then it was action packed.
