Bought this Havells Zella 1000W immersion heater mainly for bucket baths in winter and occasional use while travelling, and it has been very convenient so far. The rod is compact and lightweight, and the protection cover plus bucket hanger make it easy to place securely in the bucket without touching the hot metal part The best part is the automatic cut‑off and three‑step temperature setting (low/medium/high), which lets me set the heat level and not worry too much about forgetting it for a few minutes. The smart switch safety is also reassuring – it only works when the flaps are fully open, so it is harder to use it in an unsafe position. The ISI mark, 3‑pin molded plug, and water‑resistant design add to the feeling of safety compared to cheaper local rods Heating speed is good for a 1000W rod: it takes a bit longer than a 1500W model, but power consumption is lower and it feels like a good balance for one or two people using a bucket. The nickel‑plated element is holding up well with no visible rust so far, and the build quality of the plastic body and flaps feels sturdy. For best results, it is important to keep the rod fully submerged between the min and max markings and use a proper, non‑metal bucket as advised in the manual. What could be better: the price is higher than basic immersion rods, and some users may prefer the faster 1500W version if they heat larger quantities of water. Also, the temperature knob markings could have been slightly clearer for elderly users. Overall, if safety and smart features matter more to you than the absolute lowest price, this is a very reliable immersion heater and worth the investment.
