This was my favorite purchase of last winter - kept me warm without having to add too many layers. Keeping the neck warm really makes such a huge difference. Doesn’t get itchy, doesn’t pill up when washed. 100% wool and no polyester which it’s important to me! Well worth the money

Same as other SmartWool neck gaiters we have, these are amazingly functional, slim fitting, warm, durable, and broadly indispensable for outdoors cold weather comfort.If you're someone who finds a cold neck, ears, face makes you miserable, you cannot go wrong with a SmartWool neck gaiter.I can endure some pretty frigid outdoor temperatures, well below 32deg, and have done so more than I can recount. I've also been able to do this on some occasions with less than ideal outerwear, but managed alright by keeping my neck/ears/face area warm and protected underneath my SmartWool neck gaiter.To me, about as indispensable as a good pair of gloves.Throw on some reasonable layers, and I've made it through conditions I'd not have thought doable.

Works very well, not scratchy. Doesn’t slip, breathable and most importantly keeps my face warm!!

I have to agree with another reviewer. This is tight on my neck, to the point of slight discomfort. The materials are great and the build is fantastic. I'm hoping I can get used to it.I have owned dozens of various styles and makes of these. Only one other of the dozens I've tried was this tight. I guess I don't understand why someone would want to feel like they are being choked all day

Got this as a gift after I got one before going to canada! Its honest to god saved my ass. The windsheer was cutting through my other family member's scarves as if they had nothing on, and this thing kept me warm and toasty! The wool honestly made a difference. I pulled it up over my nose and ears to trap the heat my breath made on a windy day, and it worked a charm!

A buff is a necessity on any serious hike or trek. In warm whether you want something lightweight that protects from the sun. But in cold weather, you need something more thermal so it has to be very comfortable. This buff is great for cold weather, very versatile. Wear it over your ears, face, or just around your neck. The smart wool is extremely comforting. The fit is great, not too tight, not too loose. Tight enough to stay in the position you want without sacrificing comfort. I highly recommend.

Perfect addition to running gear. I bought this for hiking in the mountains, but it's become a staple in my winter running gear. It's breathable enough that it doesn't get sweaty or wet and make me colder, but is enough of a cover to keep the cold air off my skin. It's great for that.
