can you tell me if this is actually premier brand or pet safe as they look similar but prices vary and have been told its down to the quality

Hello, this is the Premier Easy Walk harness. It was recommended by my trainer and instantly made it possible for me to walk safely with my 2 year old golden retriever. He even tried to bolt once, and couldn't. My trainer has never known it not to work. One word of caution - my trainer fitted it and to me, it is quite loose. Don't fit it too snugly, as I understand it can then rub and cause open sores, particularly by the "armpits". This is the best bit of kit I have ever bought. There is a version which comes with a lead which again, is well worth it. The lead is a good length and comfortable. They also make a reflective version, for if you walk in the dark. You probably already know the harnesses with the attachment ring on the chest are best and put less strain on the spine than those which attach on the back. Good Luck and happy walking!

does this harness cause rubbing and chafing ??

i have been using one of these harnesses on one of my dogs since i got it i have not had any rubbing or chafing what-so-ever now she walks perfectly so my other dog will now start wearing it and my dogs ar not small one is a labbie who has been wearing it and my other one is a bull mastiff and both are v-large if i would have had to purchase another one i would so in a heartbeat

what is the correct size for a labrador?

I bought a medium for my dog and he a Weimeraner x Rottweiler. It is a tight fit because he has a very deep chest so I would say if your lab is of average size the medium should fit.

how do i know what size fits my dog

A bit of trial and error, Found that large was ok for a medium size Labrador, medium for a collie or springer spaniel size, small/med - cocker spaniel, - small - all the miniature dogs. Hope that helps, if you needed a harness for anything larger than a medium lab, I would advise a extra large. They all have quite a lot of movement in size to help the fit. Hope that helps.
