great. Exactly what I expected
Got these for my daughters, wife and Daughter in law for their get-home bags for their cars. They seem to be exactly what they are supposed to be!

Not as advertised
These are not mylar material. They can work under certain applications but I would not substitute these for real mylar.

Excellent product performs well
This is an outstanding product. I live at above 9,000 ft right next to the sangre de Cristo Mountain range. It gets extremely cold especially in the February where it reaches negative 12°. I put this on my windows gold side out it allows UV light to pass through and the silver side retains the heat. It made a significant difference in my he didn't go. I also keep some on hand in my Jeep for emergencies. It is tough. Easy to cut and doesn't shred like cheaper emergency blankets. And yes it does function as it says. I tested it with a UV light which passed right through the gold side and was stopped and reflected on the silver side. It's the same stuff they use on satellites to protect them from cosmic rays and solar radiation. I don't recommend buying any other brand than this one. You'll be disappointed if you do. And at negative 12°, with it having a measurable effect, I keep them around.

I haven't had any emergency situation but have used them in cold sleeping compartment of a train and must say they do keep the heat within. Obviously once it is out of its bag, its pretty impossible to fit into its bag, but very portable and I have one in the car, in the bag and always in the suitcase. Who knows when you might need it.

Gelukkig nog niet gebruikt. Maar verstandig om deze bij de hand te hebben. Heb ook een pakje met nood dekens in de auto gelegd. Kleine verrassing: ik dacht dat het 10 nood dekens waren…. Het waren echter 10 pakjes met 10 nood dekens.
