Very well made product. If you need consistent pre-set DC voltage for your maker applications, this does the job. Minimal voltage drift and the adjustment screw is not too temperamental. It takes several turns to adjust voltage output levels. The PCB construction and component mounting are all high quality. Has nicely detailed touches, like the through-board pins being sanded down and the input & output voltage ranges being silk-screened on the bottom. The potentiometer direction instruction for the voltage pot is simply exposed gold? trace, so it can't be scratched off. All PCB mounting holes are via reinforced (grounded). The width between mounting holes also matches Arduino mounting specs.If you have few thousand dollars worth of equipment depending on a pre-set voltage, this high quality voltage regulator adds one more level of insurance against potential over-voltage damage.Update: The review above was written for the DROK LM2596 Immersion Gold Voltage Regulator. Currently this review was put under another product heading. My comments only apply to the Immersion Gold version.Update2: Ordered 2 more Immersion Gold versions only to find both are missing their adjustable potentiometer!!! They only regulate to a fixed 12 volt output with a resistor soldered in place of the pot, but the page says they have an imported BI potentiometer.

Used this in a clock that has a receiver at 5, 10 and 15 MHz for picking up the WWV. I tested several buck converters and this one was the quietest at those frequencies without needing shielding. It is a bit noisy at 5Mhz but still better then the others I tried. Very well built. Worked so well that I bought another. Well worth the price.

Well built and works great. Very fine voltage adjustment. It's a bit of overkill for my application; I'm using it to drop 5V at 300mA, and it's not generating any heat at all. The green status LED is blindingly bright.

I installed a solar power plant in my off grid cabin. Using flooded cell lead acid batteries in my battery bank, it is important to know if their voltage drops below 60% state of charge (SOC) for long battery life. They rarely drop below 80%To be proactive, I installed a voltage monitor with a built in alarm. However, the monitor was out of calibration and reading 0.3 Volts too high. Fortunately, it has a calibration procedure requiring that you record two voltage set points at 12 and 24 volts. Using the DROK LM2596, I was able to calibrate the voltage monitor so that it now accurately reads my battery plant voltage. Also, I used the DROK LM2596 to test the alarm point on the monitor. The DROK LM2596 turned out to be a very inexpensive alternative to a variable voltage bench power supply, which can cost $100's of dollars.The potentiometer on the DROK LM2596 was not overly sensitive. I was a able to dial in my set voltages within 0.05 Volts without any difficulty. I'll keep it in my electronics kit for future projects.

This works just as I needed it to. I took a 22 Volt plug in transformer power supply and lowered the output voltage to 18 volt to use with my Electro Harmonix 22 cal power amp.

works well. A little high pitch sound is heard when its turned on. my be from the coil. other than this no probs. works very well

Very nice product. I liked you could adjust the output voltage for your use.

Bought them to do some proto-typing, was able to easily dial the voltage in to 5.1V, 3.3V worked as well.
