Icontrol Networks Inc. Piper Z-Wave Door/Window Sensor

I paid double for this over what it replaced, an Ecolink sensor that sent us four false alarms over four days while on vacation.(It's not fun waking to an alarm at 3 AM, having to call your local county sheriff's office to get someone out to your home to check on things.)Because I needed another set of eyes, I had a friend go inside the next day to double check. No sensors had fallen to the floor. The alarm specified which sensor was sending the alarm signal.After four nights of this nonsense (no - I didn't call the sheriff again) I knew I had a defective sensor. When we returned I ordered this IControl sensor, though it cost double what the Ecolink sensor cost, thus the deduction of one star. I do recommend screwing these to the frame and NOT relying on the adhesive tape that comes with it, and which allowed mine to fall, despite carefully installing it.So far so good. We just returned from a 4 day trip with no false alarms.

It’s the third sensor I have bought and it was easy to set up with the piper system and it works as expected. It comes with two sets of stickers to attach the sensors and includes the 2 AAA batteries needed to operate

Works well with about a 20 second delay for the alert on your phone.

This is just as advertised. It works great. And very easy to use.

Drops off network every day or 2. After 2 year dealing with Z-Wave I have found it unreliable and a faulty system.
