I started shopping Savina handmade hardwood sewing and weaving tools after having to return many Chinese plywood knockoffs that had not even been sanded much less finished properly to make used tools. Savina tools are well sanded and smooth as well as lovingly finished and will grace my crafting space for MANY years to come. I will also be buying Savina tools for my grandchildren!

I was shopping for a new loom hook, stumbled on a Savina hook with bone needle set. They were lovely, and I went flipping through their product line, and found the hook could be bought separately and the bone needle with a horn needle instead. That’s what I did. These are extremely well crafted, smooth to the touch and the gently tapered curve of the horn needle tip is perfectly done. These can function as large yarn needles and are adequately sized to be used to work with reproductions of centuries ago woven fabric styles. Very well worth my money.

I am a beginner using an inkle loom and this is the greatest tool to use when picking up warp threads. It is smooth and doesn’t snag the yarn and makes the weaving process so easy. I would definitely recommend this to someone using an inkle loom.

I crochet, and have a favored afghan pattern that combines crochet with a type of weaving - these work great for that purpose. The holes are large enough to accommodate 2 strands of yarn (worsted weight). Even if each “eye” weren’t large enough, there’re 2 eyes per needle, so they could still hold 2 strands of a larger weight yarn. The needles themselves are of a nice size - which makes handling them easier during the weaving process - as apposed to a typical yarn needle. One “needle” did arrive bent, or curved - but the instructions do warn that this may happen, and gives instructions on how to correct it with boiling water. Overall? - I’m very happy with this purchase. I receive no compensation or incentives for any reviews I write.

It’s a great tool well made

I’m learning how to nulbinding which is anther kind of knitting. I only use one needle and these are great! They are smooth and don’t snag the yarn and they are easy to hold on to while making my project. The bone needle is just the right size for my project. The other one is smooth also and I can see why you would use this one as my project gets bigger. I really love them and if you want to conquer a project like mine get these, I recommend them.
