La Cafetière 4-Cup Replacement Beaker, Transparent - 600 ml (1 pint)

I had to replace it by the original one it felt down to the floor and it was a pity to get rid of the other pieces just because of that until I found this one which fits perfectly. My housemate was very happy to keep it working again without having to buy a complete new one. Thanks!

I broke my original beaker after more than 25 yrs and was so pleased to get a replacement. The original beaker had the La Cafetiere logo on the front but the replacement has the logo on the bottom so can't be seen....that's my only gripe!

For a 4-cup replacement I measured the external diameter at 96mm, same as on the La Cafetiere website. Amazon said theirs were 10cm which wouldnt fit if that was accurate. Contacted La Cafetiere - they said (v, good communication from them) that there was only one size so I took the plunge and ordered the Amazon replacement. Turns out to be a perfect fit at 96mm!Sloppy and confusing Amazon measurements!

My La Cafetiere is quite old and this replacement glass beaker was a very loose fit in the frame, too loose for safe use. Despite the French brand, it is made in China and it looks like it was made in a different factory to the original, because of the different lettering on the glass and the slightly smaller diameter. I returned the first one to Amazon for replacement but the second one was about the same. I had to bend the Cafetiere frame slightly by squeezing it hard to get the glass to be held firmly.

I bought this assuming it was a generic beaker, as the photo doesn’t show the branded packaging.However it appears to be the genuine article. Just needed to loosen the screw on the handle to fit it & tighten up again after.

It's a glass Cafetierre Flask. It does it's job. it's good

I bought this for my daughter and she really likes it; easy to use and smart to look at.
