WMLx Gen 3 is better than Gen 2
In my opinion, the Gen3 is noticeably better than the Gen2. It appears brighter, has more throw, and a brighter center hot spot, but still offers good spill. I have used the WML and WMLx lights for years. It is important to know the pros, cons, and limitations of your equipment. Afterall, these are tools. The WML series has a use case where it excels. If you attempt to push it beyond its intended use then you may be disappointed. In my opinion, the ideal use case for this series of lights is indoors or areas where your distance is limited to less than 50 yards. The WML series are lightweight, not complicated, and easy to mount. They require no additional pads, mounts, cables, tools, etc... They are a "one and done" solution. Just buy it and attach it. That's it. Very simple. I mount mine on the top pic rail at 12'oclock. With this mounting position the light can be activated with my thumb, both right and left handed. These WML lights are not comparable to the newer Modlites, Surefire Scout, etc... Those lights may be considered too bright indoors or in smaller confined spaces, while the WML lights might seem anemic when used outdoors at greater distances. This is why I used the WML lights on my home defense rifles. I use Modlite and Surefire on any rifle that is intended to be used outdoors or in a multi-role capacity. The new Gen3 WMLx can be used to approx 50-60 yards outdoors but that is about the useful limit for solid PID. Indoors, however, the WML lights are fantastic. As of this post, May 2024, the WML lights only accept CR123 batteries and cannot use the 18350 or 18650 batteries. If you are looking for a solid, lightweight, and simple light for a home defense rifle then the WMLx semms to be a great choice.

A solid budget light
Sure, it doesn't have the candella or throw of a higher end light, but at 30-40 yards its a very decent light with plenty of spill and a simple user interface, perfect for a left side mount. I'll never understand the people that put these on the top rail or right side, but to each their own. It won't blow your socks off and it has no business as a duty item, but its a solid unit that does well at close range, great for home defense. I would compare it to a Streamlight TLR1-HL except maybe a little more durable, a little less tacticool, a little less usable since (in my opinion) it can only be properly mounted on the left side, but lighter and more simple. They have an IR version too that's great for helmet mounted applications with NV. If you're on a budget I would go this route, but if you can afford better I think you should. I'll never criticize anyone for running one of these though.

Just buy one!
I recently mounted the Inforce Weapon Light on my shotgun, and it has been a fantastic addition for home defense and wildlife encounters. The light is incredibly bright and provides a wide field of illumination, which is exactly what I need in low-light situations. Mounting it was quick and secure, and it feels solid and reliable. The design is compact, so it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk to my shotgun, yet it packs plenty of power. Whether I’m checking out a noise at home or needing some extra visibility outdoors, this light does the job perfectly. If you’re looking for a durable, high-quality weapon light that enhances both home defense and outdoor safety, the Inforce Weapon Light is an excellent choice. It offers great performance and peace of mind—highly recommended!

Quality
High quality. Very bright. Ergonomics is excellent. Most importantly it’s very simple to operate. I don’t need 15 different options on a flashlight, blender, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker etc…

Great Weapon Light
One of the best weapon lights on the market and I have three of them. They can take a beating in real life tactical / combat situations and function flawlessly

Good value for a simple light
I like the simplicity of controls, and the lack of confusing and overly complex options. Not too bright; just right. Fair price.

Good for left or right handed shooters
Love this light. As a lefty, I appreciate the switch being directly on top so works for either hand. Light is also very bright. Low profile so if your sight is on a riser, the light doesn't show when looking through your optic.

Perfect for home defense shotguns.
This thing is bright! Mounts easily onto a pic rail. Maybe not great for rifles as I think there are better options out there for that, but it works and looks great on my pump shotgun. Features a switch to go between constant and momentary on. It's a little bigger than I expected, but nothing too crazy.
