A lot of the other reviews talked about how this wasn't an official book, and is simply a "wikipedia" style account of Pippen's career. As it's the only Pippen book available, I'd say it's worth reading, and the author has done well. Let's hope somebody released a more detailed, and official Pippen biography at some point.On the last dance documentary, I found Scottie Pippen to be the revelation. I'd never heard of him before, and he appears as the underrated team player.

Fair summary of one of the most gifted players of his generation. Overshadowed by Jordan's scoring, but absolutely critical to the success of the team.

I didn't have high hopes for this book. But there isn't any other Pippen biography out there. Writing is wooden and lacking detail. Virtually all discussion of games appear to be summary of Pippen's box score. It is like a long poor Wikipedia entry. I hope one day writes the definitive Pippen book - he certainly deserves one.

Disappointing

This seems to have been written by a child rather than an award winning author. Continuous repeating of the same messages that Pippen was a great player (which is well documented and referenced anywhere on the internet) and Jordan’s sidekick, with no real detail or perspective. Stopped reading this by page 40 of 134

The book was somewhat insightful but way too brief. On the other hand, this book was a wonderful read as long it lasted.

I was excited to finally find a biography on Scottie Pippen. I was highly disappointed. I didn't learn anything new about the man. There was very little research done. You could learn everything by going to basketball-reference.com instead of reading this book. It was just page after page of stats that Pippen compiled during his career. One star for the book, an extra star for Pippen. Don't waste your $1.99.
