Will one remote control more than 3?

If MR16 LED lights are close together, one remote can control all lights. For individual control, place the remote near the desired light to avoid affecting others.

Can you keep these lights on one color for a period of time or do they need to rotate colors?

This MR16 led bulb have solid color or color changing modes. If you choose the 16 different single colors, then it will keep the solid color. If you choose the 4 color changing modes(Flash/Strobe/Fade/Smooth), it will keep changing colors.

Are these an appropriate replacement the the MR16 recessed lights in my kitchen?

The MR16 color changing LED bulb is for outdoor lighting. It may not work with old halogen transformers in kitchen lights, causing flickering or other problem. To avoid this, replace the old transformer with a 12V constant voltage LED transformer.
