Best Bone Broth Ever

Then God created Brodo…
Not all that long after God created light, God created bubbies (grandmothers) and chickens. I do not know which came first, the chicken or the bubby… but that is another story. Bubbies have been making what millennials called bone broth before the pyramids took shape. The same was true in China, in fact that is why so many of us go to Chinese restaurants on Christmas… but that is another story. I couldn’t believe how boiling water, a chicken carcass and some spices became such an elevated art/science in the early 2000’s. I laughed as I savored my matzoh ball. Then came an illness, I needed a liquid diet prior to and post surgery. I tried so many broths from the grocery store. Most reminded me of the salt licks that horses love. Some were so watered down that they had no flavor at all. Then came my first sip of Brodo! My God, thank you. I can pronounce every one of the few ingredients and the sodium content is reasonable. I have only tried the chicken bone broth but I am in love. I think my own bubby would have loved it too. Of course I would have to hide the fact that I just opened a pouch and microwaved it… but if I had poured it into an oversized stock pot and served it to her from an oversized, silver ladle… she would have swooned. Brodo is so much more than a healthy, delicious broth… it is a hug you can give yourself… in 60 to 90 seconds. Gey gezunteheyt essen!
