ZvexEffects Fuzz Factory Vexter Series Fuzz Guitar Pedal

so I took some time to experiment with this pedal before I wrote my review and I have to say...it is absolutely incredible. BUT you have to know how to use it!!! one wrong step and you will loose you ear drums, but not to fear for i have done that for you(im not joking i heard ringing for an hour after the first time playing with this)! if you follow the below guidelines you will be golden and have an incredible, crisp and filthy fuzz which ACTS LIKE AN OVER DRIVEN TUBE(many people expect a regular fuzz but this is not and sounds more like something from Kansas, steel train or the blacks keys when they hit their compressed, fuzzy, roar sound. so if you want to sound good...follow these guidelinesdon't: use this the dirty channel on the amp, with an over drive or distortion, with another fuzz. don t take the volume down with a volume pedal while using this because it will send you into a fifth dimension and make aliens noises(its happened to the best of us). don't plug in the power chord while running off of the reserve energy(which charges while using a dc 9 v) while the pedal is on...I shocked myself and could have caused a fire. DONT DROP THE GATE TO ANYTHING TO THE LEFT OF 3 'CLOCKdo: use delay and reverbs on this as they sound pretty cool. If you want them to be subtle but the fuzz first if you want them to be promentent put the atmospheric pedals first. make sure this fuzz comes after volume and tuner pedals and with any high gain pedals it doesn't matter because you will take my advice and won't be using them with this will you??knobs: it gives suggestions on instructions that are great bt hear are some more.more compressed sound: turn compression up and drive downmore fuzzy sound: stab down role gate back a bit (but never the left of 3 'Oclock of course!)better than star wars: drive, 5:30; stab 5; compression, 9; gate, 3:15(or until screaming stops) and volume doesn't matter because it is always loud.all in all this pedal is more vast and complex then space travel but is also more rewarding as i would find this as my most powerful and important pedal. please buy this for your sake

Great fuzz tones, although it lacks the sustain of the big muff. However, you can use it to make all sorts of crazy noise effects.

Great fuzz! Perfect and a bit crazy! Just what I wanted.

Simply put, the Fuzz Factory pedal we received must be defective. The noise created by this pedal is deafening. It is impossible to dial in any kind of good tone. I've been playing guitar for 31 years and I've never seen such a hissing, useless and uncontrollable foot pedal. Sending it back.

So, if your looking to experiment with fuzz. This is your answer. I love this pedal. However, again it's a fuzz pedal so don't expect anything but raw fuzz soundscapes.

This pedal must be tamed to be used. The first five minutes sounded ... interesting, but after I started to get the hang of it both tones and licks I had never thought of started to stream out of my amp.The ONLY thing this pedal needs is an adjustment for tone to brighten up my humbuckers, or to soften single coils.
