This portable JBL speaker is convenient and excellent sound of course portability the ease of hooking Bluetooth to whatever your needs may be. And of course, the old school look is awesome.

I get constant compliments on how stylish this is. The battery lasts a decent amount of time before requiring charging. The sound quality is great for the price point. I do wish there was a single app for JBL products because having to use separate ones for my earbuds and this one is annoying.

So far so good. Sound quality is good, bass is powerful. The sound can be just a little "bright" with some songs. Connection and set up was pretty much flawless and relatively simple. Got this at 31% off, it's probably a little pricy at full cost IMO.

I bought the Authentics 300 a little less than a year ago to use either my turntable and wanted to wait a while before I reviewed it to get a real feel for how it performs to help people make an educated decision. I connected my turntable via two methods: 1) Bluetooth, and 2) via 3.5mm hardline. Both worked quite well although it was a bit tricky to pair the Bluetooth to the turntable. In the end, I prefer the 3.5mm connection though because it always works whereas the Bluetooth sometimes became unpaired (could be either the speaker’s fault or the turntable’s fault, but not sure). This is a fantastic sounding speaker that has great clarity, loudness, bass, and highs. I play all sorts of genres of music and all sound great without distortion. The only limiting factor is the surface that the speaker rests upon. The bass is strong enough to cause considerable vibrations so be sure it’s in a spot that can handle the bass. Definitely a great speaker albeit expensive but worth the money if you want something for larger spaces and something that blends into the background without taking up a ton of space.

Not really that portable, as it is quite heavy. However, I bought it to serve as a Bluetooth bookshelf stereo speaker for my reading room. I play music on it from my iPad and it does it very well! I play rock music and jazz (once in a while classical) on it. Very impressive with loud and quiet music.
