An excellent book to widen knowledge of key English words and their usage. This book is for junior to senior level students who want to improve their vocabulary skills. Topics provide easy-to-understand description and explanation with lots of graphical display. I would highly recommend this book for secondary school kids.

There are three books in 'Oxford Word Skills' series depending on three different levels of learners' ability - basic, intermediate and advance. You can use the 'advance' part, skipping the previous two books of this series. You'll face no problem. Now, the contents of the book. The book is written in a very simple easy-to-understand language with helps wherever you might face problems. Bright colors may help you remember the words and phrases more easily. You'll enjoy the applications of the words in simple sentences. The best thing about the book is the CD-ROM. If you've any problem with pronunciation, then you must have to use it. It also contains various exercises and speaking lessons. And lastly a slight remainder. Go for this book if you're from a medium other than English (Bengali medium, Hindi medium and so on) and have some serious difficulty in speaking or writing English. You may use it to increase your vocabulary, have a good grip in pronunciation and strengthen your concepts about the applications of new words.
