I noticed a nice difference in performance!
I got this K&N filter for my Honda CRF300L Rally and I gotta say it really feels like a quality filter! It's been a long time since I've used a K&N filter and had forgotten how much I like the quality of them and the cleaning and oiling process. I currently have a Twin Air foam filter on the bike and wanted a back up filter so that I don't have to be down when it is time to clean the air filter. Amazon had a great price on the K&N when I went looking, so I ordered it. It was about a week after I installed it that I went for a ride and I had forgotten that I installed the new air filter. As I was riding, I noticed that the bike seemed a little more peppy and that's when I remembered the new air filter. So for me, I would say the K&N filter has enhanced the performance! My one concern is that hopefully the K&N filter doesn't allow more dirt in when I am riding in dusty conditions. I will be monitoring that to make sure dirt isn't making it past the filter. But if it does a good job with the filtering, I will be very happy because it definitely made a nice difference in the performance!

Not important.
Five times the cost of a stock filter. Zero gain in performance. Washable tho. I use a cleaner and filter oil kit.

Too Difficult to Install for Me
I'm sure it's a good filter but installing it correctly is a pain for a CRF300L. It comes in two pieces - a frame and the filter. The filter just drops into the frame but doesn't fasten to it. I guess so one filter can fit into different vehicles with a different frame. Anyhow I couldn't get the frame to fit into the keeper recesses of the airbox while keeping the filter in the frame. Maybe could be done easily w/practice but I lost patience w/it.

Does not seal
The framework flexes too much and it will not stay in place. It pops out of place. Clips do not stay secure. If this happened after I put it together I could have destroyed my engine.
