This worked really well for our 3 week holiday in British Columbia and Alberta. The main thing I wanted it for was to use sat nav in the car and navigation when we were out and about, and there was easily enough data for that. We used it every day but still used only 1gb of data over the three weeks. Very easy to register a couple of days in advance of our trip, and I slotted it in when we were on the plane when we were about an hour away from landing and it was immediately available when we landed. Clear and easy communication too about what my number was while we were away

Follow the instructions that come with the SIM card to activate via a computer it prior to travelling - you specify the date that you need it to be activated and when you arrive in the country, just insert/enable the SIM card and within a couple of mins it'll start working. I can verify that it came with the 8GB of data as promised and lasts for 30 days.I've used these on two separate trips to different parts of Canada and it's worked perfectly both times (first time took ~5 mins to start working, second time worked straight away). I will purchase again for future trips.The only thing I would say is it's not cheap (all Canadian SIM's are expensive, so it's not a bad deal). Watch the price for a while before purchasing, as I've seen it fluctuate quite a bit on Amazon (I paid £24, but have seen it at £37!).

When purchasing this I really did believe that that I would be able to use this sim in Canada in the same way that I use my UK sim here in the UK. I wanted to 'have data' when out in case I needed it for directions or for communication to the UK through WhatsApp. Apparently I could call or test other Canadian numbers. I was on holiday, I didn't know anyone there. Not quite sure what the included 8gb data included was meant for. A complete waste of money. I exchanged a couple of emails with Phonebox, but don't feel they ever answered my questions, then conveniently ignored me when I requested a refund.

It works but you need to follow instructions BEFORE you arrive in Canada.It has to be activated online before travel. Speed and reception are both good, not the best but good. Tethering also works. However it fails to upload large files, in my case 400MB.

This turned out to be an excellent choice.Some reviews talk of bad experiences and even suggest that it's a scam. However, if you read and follow the instructions, it all works seamlessly and exactly as promised. It's very much cheaper than waiting until you arrive in Canada and buying a SIM card at the airport.I'm in Canada now and using the service, so I reiterate: READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

This sim card was easy to insert and switch between my uk one. I activated the sim 24 hours before my trip and then switched whilst on plane. As soon as we touched down I got a welcome text and Canadian number and was able to use data freely. Had 8gb but didn't use anywhere near that even though using Google maps for navigation. Definitely recommend

I have been getting a lot of scam calls. When anyone tries to call me the get someone else.

If going to Canada I have no hesitation in recommending this card. As previously mentioned by reviewers,'Just follow instructions as clearly expained by seller and you will have connection immediately'.I found it to be quick, reliable and it never dropped any signal. I used it extensively for Google/Waze maps for 3 weeks and it never let me down ...... 5 star without a doubt!
