Best needles for your sewing machine
Schmetz sewing machine needles are the best

Amazing!
Chrome for the win. I recently upgraded from universal to microtex needles for sewing with wovens. These needles are very straight and very strong. I don't have to worry about my needle bending, when I sew with these. I also think they will last longer, maybe for 2 projects instead of one. I change out the needles on my machine frequently, and I also throw needles away after each project. With these needles, I will probably delay doing that for longer. I want to replace my serger needles with these as well, because I feel like these needles are less likely to bend and create issues with my machines. Awesome needles that are worth the money.

Best needles for Quilting and Sewing Voile
I have a Janome QCP 8200 and had been machine quilt piecing with Universal needles. I moved over to these needles because I was sewing a cotton viole blouse and having a heck of a time getting a nice seam. i went online, after dealing with the universal needles bunching my fabric and after I checked the tension, the footbed, etc....nothing was helping. Someone on Reddit recommended this needle to another sewer having the same issue. It made the biggest difference. My seams all looked professionally sewn afterward! Even more incredible is now my quilting looks perfect, as well. These needles are a MUST!

I love Schmetz needles.
When I first began sewing, I had a lot of other well known name brand needles and I broke them, bent them, and had skipped stitches consistently. I won't name the brand here but... I will NEVER buy from them again. Finally a sweet elder lady at a small fabric shop tsked me for using anything but Schmetz. So I tried this brand. Yes, I occasionally break a Schmetz needle because I am careless pulling the fabric, getting in a hurry while sewing around metal boning, or doing some other silly thing I shouldn't while sewing. But overall, these needles last 10x longer than others, I can sew really tricky fabrics with Schmetz with far fewer problems. In fact these microtex needles I bought specifically to sew lingerie fabrics with slinkiness, stretch and usually a lot of frustration. Not with these. Even on my ancient Husqy viking machine, I can sew bras as fine, if not finer than anything you can buy at an overpriced store. And I know a very big part of my success is that I only use Schmetz now. Whether its thick faux fur blankets, jersey knit yoga pants, silky bras, thick leather or denim... Schmetz has a needle for it and it will work if you have the patience to learn how to make it. Both on my sewing machine and serger. In other words, regardless of your project, Schmetz needles are what you need. Maybe not the microtex - it all depends on your fabric, but do a bit of research on what kind of point you need, size, and the best needle type for your project, and then save yourself a lot of frustration and money and just buy the Schmetz needles.

Great needles.
I use these needles for piecing my quilt tops and have never had a problem with them. They don’t burr even when I use them longer than I should.
