Fun electric scooter + folds with great portability + Works well
The media could not be loaded. Throughout my college career I had a scooter to get to class quickly and to avoid wasting time. When electric scooters came out, I was more than excited. I got tired of paying for Birds and other scooters that required an app to setup and credit card on file. Also, with Covid I’ve become much more paranoid about germs and using scooters that tons of people touched. This is when I decided to put the situation into my own hand, I looked up purchasing a used bird or electric scooter for myself and my family. Upon researching into it I began to see the limitations, for instance many of those scooters don’t fold meaning you can’t take them with you on far trips to the beach to ride around or when you are on vacation. Thus, my search for the perfect scooter began. After looking around, I heard great things about Joyor being a decent, affordable, and portable scooter. I bought one and have been enjoying rides around my neighborhood since. The Joyor scooter has airless tires which makes them super sturdy to drive over cracks and not get flats or in need of constant air (the manual says try to avoid holes more than 3cms/1inch) . The tires look like honeycombs and are great. It has a solid application that tells you great information on your previous trips, what speed you are going, battery life, and I believe lets you lock your scooter. You can adjust it in the setting from automatic start or kick to start. I don’t trust myself kicking to start the scooter, so I just put it on automatic. There are 3 speeds, slow, normal, and fast. I prefer the normal speed-- overall rides are SMOOTH. When pushing the gas on the right side, it adjusts by how hard you push it and how long you hold it down so it’s almost like driving a car. The brakes are personally what I liked the most. It’s very smooth and predictable and most importantly responsive. There’s an e-brake function on the back tire for emergency stops – which I haven’t had to use.The Joyor Scooter was ready out of the box. It only has two screws that you use an Allen wrench (provided) to lock in. It folds easily and you can snap it into the back tire to pick it up and move around with. You can fold it and take it up stairs or put it in your trunk for adventures at the beach or travel. It’s only about 20 pounds if you have to carry it. My only qualms are that it’s not waterproof cause of the battery. So, I wouldn’t leave it out in the rain if you can help it. Also, the manual encourages you to space out recharging the battery after usage for one hour, to help it preserve the battery integrity. The bell on the scooter is a nice addition and works well, the LED lighting is adjustable in the apps and is great for nighttime adventures. Living in a crowded city with tandem parking makes this scooter great for small errands or just to feel the wind in your face. Overall, it’s a great scooter and my family loves it.

Unable to Rate any of the features because the Scooter NEVER powered on!
This scooter was easy to assemble and appeared to be very sturdy. Unfortunately it NEVER powered on, I contacted support and while the response was reasonably quick it wasn't very helpful.Support suggested defective battery or defective charger. Either way I am disappointed with this purchase and while it is cumbersome to disassemble and repackage I cannot wait to return it!

Joyor G5 Scooter Review.
Joyor G5 Scooter.I'm gonna break this down into 3 categories, 1: Weight 2: Speed 3: Battery life, and 4. trial riding. I've tested this scooter for over 80 miles now and the miles keep ticking up. This is a honest review for the Joyor G5 Scooter.1: Weight. The G5 Scooter is pretty medium weight, easily 40 pounds. The scooter can be easily carried around work spaces or put in the back of your car. My only issue with this is that to unfold/fold it is pretty hard and you have to use a lot of strength. Unlike the other scooters I have that issue is solved with a easy folding mechanism and a safety pin that you attach to keep it there.2: SpeedRight after I assembled the scooter it went 19mph out of the box, half way charged. I charged it over night and it went 23mph (on ground) the next day. The scooter goes 26mph lifted up in air. It is certainly pretty torquey but you can lower the torque in P setting's, along with way more stuff which I find handy.3. Battery Life. The Joyor G5 scooter claims to have a battery life of 20-30 miles, basically like a 1-2 hours. I usually take this for 10-14 mile trial rides and it comes back home with 3 battery remaining. A side note to this is that the bell sucks, the bell is cheap but you can easily replace this for like 10 bucks.4. Trial riding.I take this on trial rides for most of the time, it comes in with the box with street tires, you can upgrade this but I wish there was a option to pick off road tires for this. This thing is a beast on trials, dirt, grass, anywhere in general. The highest speed I hit in a trial was 26mph down a path. It's rear wheel drive which is nice so you can do burn outs lol. It is a big rough when you hit a rock or some big sticks in the path because the scooter jumps up and hits the ground and the bell rings, the bell barely makes any noise, when I'm on a trial and use my bell they can't even hear it.5. Summary. In general the Joyor G5 scooter is a really good scooter for its price range of 650$, I mean like.. Really good. You can easily take the seat off and the base of the seat so its a nice and flat deck. I recommend this scooter in general and yeah, buy it!
