Great value * (Edited Review)
10/26/2024 Updated and edited review. I reached out to the customer support and turns out I had a faulty/defective watch. Without hesitation they offered to send me another watch and walked me through a few of the features of the watch which were important to me. New watch received performs leaps and bounds better than the original. It has now been approximately 2 months using this watch and it has worked great. I receive all of my text messages and notifications that I have set up to, the tracker seems more reliable, and the battery life is leaps and bounds better than the original one received. My watch has not reset on me at all unlike the first one. I am not experiencing any of the issues I had from my original review. Customer support was great and very helpful and the new watch I received does everything I wanted it to do. Very pleased with the watch in great value for the featuresSo after almost 4 months with this watch (received it on 4/21/24), I really wanted to love it. The watch looks great. I love the large round face. The price point for everything the watch offers is great. However, after a few months of owning the watch there are definitely some pros and major cons. I also own the Tozo wireless earbuds and absolutely love them for the price point.I have owned quite a few smart watches including a few Garmins, a lot of Fitbits and a couple other brands as well.My needs in a smartwatch are:* the ability to at least read text messages (and ideally reply too)* read notifications from my phone without the need to pull out my phone,* monitor heart rate,* track steps and distance* monitor sleep.I would love to be able to load music, have GPS location and several other things as well but at this price point I am trying to be realistic.Pros:* Great looking watch with a great large round face* Tracks steps and goals* Monitors sleep* Tells timeCons:* Watch completely resets randomly and I lose most of the settings I have set up* Text messaging and notifications are worthless. In almost 4 months, I have received maybe 5 texts on my watch out of thousands and thousands received on my phone. I have received notifications for maybe 20 emails out of thousands of emails.* Heart rate monitoring rarely seems to be working* When I am alerted in one of the rare instances of a text, email or other notification you are alerted by a notification sound. The notification sounds are quite loud. When you turn down the volume to minimum for the notification sounds you miss the notifications altogether. Ideally I would love to just receive my notifications through a vibration alert so I know when to look at my watch, however when you turn off audio it appears to turn off your notifications and messages altogether. Supposedly you can receive audio and vibration notifications but NOT vibrate only notifications on the watch. Very poor design. Who wants to be in the middle of a meeting and have a loud alert going off on your watch.* There is a need to constantly go in and connect it back up to your phone's Bluetooth otherwise you get almost no functionality out of the watch besides it can tell the time.* The user interface is not extremely user friendly* The watch/app is not really compatible or capable of syncing with any other apps* Doesn't appear to be quite as accurate tracking steps as all other smart watches and trackers* The battery life started off ok at best, but in less than 4 months the battery barely lasts a whole day. If I was getting all of the functionality out of the watch that I was supposed to be getting and it caused the watch to drain after I got through at least an entire day or two out of the watch I could probably live with that. However, with the watch functionality mainly only being able to tell me time, the battery life and charging length is simply not acceptable.* Charging isn't much better. Started off charging the watch every day while I took a quick shower and this would be adequate, but now I find myself charging for several hours and still not getting a 50% charge.I have always thoroughly enjoyed owning all of the other name brand smartwatches and health trackers. Fitbit used to be my favorite for the price point until they were bought out by Google and and the quality of the Fitbit smart watches went downhill. I have heard of the Tozo brand before and as mentioned above, I love my Tozo wireless earbuds which is why I decided to give the watch a try. I truly wanted to love this watch but unfortunately it will probably end up serving as nothing more than a paperweight.

S5- excellent choice for the money.
When TOZO sent me this watch to try, I was not already a user of a smart watch device. I was also asked to give an honest review of the product after using it.Frankly, I had no idea I could track my heart rate and blood oxygen levels, as well as several additional features that are made more accessible by the TOZO phone app. The watch was simple to connect to my phone, the app makes this simple. Download the app first, then connect the watch.I have been tracking my sleep patterns, and it appears to be quite accurate. I also have several exercises out of hundreds ready to launch when I am active. This includes things like fishing and hiking, as well as nearly every other kind of recreational activity I could think of.... The device provides many vital statistics mentioned. For anyone wishing to keep track of their activity levels and their health in general could certainly use this device. You can continue to marginally push further with each exercise type and keep track of that level of physical challenge and increase that activity in either duration or intensity to create safe and reasonable heath goals and reach them. The charging system is simple. A USB cable and their magnetic charging end which cannot be placed backwards on the watch. I liked this, remember I've never owned one of these. Plugging it into your power source, it charges as expected. The charge lasts for days on battery saver, less so if you are using it extensively. I have not fully tested run time on the battery, but the watch has never let me down before I needed to charge it. Days.I am also able to choose from several watch faces and displays, control brightness, audio, etc. It will answer your phone when your hands are not able. It is, of course a watch first and foremost, so it comes with a full list of timing functions and alarm settings. The AMOLED screen is crystal clear, given that my eyesight is not great, this looks outstanding, even outside. The band on mine is the rubber type, excellent in my opinion, as I have owned several of these in my time. The band is smart, you'll see when you get yours. This tells me that quality is important, right down to the design of the band. The watch itself has a scratch resistant face, I have hit mine a few times on things working around the shop, and it has survived unscratched, but I am careful. The watch body appears to be a finely coated alloy, strong and light. Sturdy. The belly is the usual sensor array, neatly placed in a circular component built into the back. The S5 is waterproof to IP68, but I have not tried it swimming, nor even showering. It also gets wet when you wash your hands. No problems.Overall, the cost and the functionality of the S5 is very competitive. I am certain that a $300 smart watch could have more features, but I have not seen many. Perhaps video? But then you're not looking at a smart watch for under $100.As someone who never used one of these, I waited a month or so to review it. I don't have to say that I like it, but I do. It's good looking and it has all the features of a smart watch, with a reasonable price tag. This is why I give it 5 stars, in this price range. It is as advertised. A great smart watch, under $100.And to make a point about the maker and seller, even their most harsh criticism to date on this product was that the excellent TOZO customer service is quick to resolve most problems, and it was a battery issue, if my memory serves me. TOZO cares, and they are accessible as a company, this adds a star.
