Coolibar UPF 50+ Men's Kaden Crushable Ventilated Hat - Sun Protective

My husband absolutely LOVES this hat and he looks pretty snazzy in it too. He says when he is working outside or on a roof with the sun beating down on his head and back that this hat is a life saver. It has a solid top to block the sun but between the top and the hatband is about 4 inches of ventilated material, allowing the air to flow through to cool the head, and also allowing the hat to be crushed flat for travel. The hatband also supposedly wicks the sweat away. Be sure to measure head size and get a perfect fit.The packaging was top notch. It was packed as if sending the most expensive fedora through UPS. One end had popped open and I thought someone had opened it but after closer inspection I realized that a much heavier box had been dropped on it or it was very roughly handled by UPS. Thankfully, it WAS packaged so well, with air pockets, cardboard and form fitting materials. No worries ordering from this exceptional company. Fits my size 8 head perfectly and is one of the most comfortable hats I have ever had. It is also crushable so it is also a perfect traveling hat. Lightweight and cool.

I bought this product because I was happy with a similar product from this company, which finally wore out. This product fits well, is cool in hot weather, and the crushable feature is helpful when traveling. However, when the hat got wet, the stain from the brown cord leaked onto the white portion of the hat and has stained the hat. I did not have this issue with the previous product.

it is lite enough and has a nice wide brim for good sun protection. it is supposed to collapse for packing but it looks a little worn out not like new after crushing it to pack. it's still ok, but dont expect it to stay sharp looking.

I love this hat. Firstly, it keeps the sun off most of my face. Secondly, the vented area of the hat has a very light inner white lining which I don't find too hot at all. I previously have bought vented hats with no lining and my lack of hair got me in trouble with the sun, right through the vent holes. Now the sun doesn't get through.The inside rim is slightly elasticized so the hat stays on except in the strongest of winds. In that situation the neck strap works very well. The best part of the neck strap is that it can be set up on the back of the hat's brim so that it's out of the way when it's not as windy.

This hat has a wide brim. It arrived very well packed. It’s obvious that it is a quality made hat so I’m pleased. It will do exactly what I need it to do, block the sun well from my face and ears. It’s comfortable. I ordered the large and it’s snug, fits well. UPF 50 is a bonus and they guarantee it for life. Who could prove the sunblock wears off but regardless the hat’s wide brim had plenty of coverage so I’m pleased.

I bought this hat because of the style (the web reviews says it is a fashionable, crushable hat). However, I had problems as soon as I opened it. The brim was bent/damaged (an odd thing for a crushable hat), the brim was a fair bit wider than it appears in the pictures, and I just looked silly in it. I would have given 3 stars, except after carefully ordering my size, the fit was very tight. And I dont see how anyone could pack this hat without killing it. All things together = a 2 star, especially at the relatively high price.

I was looking for a nice hat to replace an older golf hat and this looked like a great candidate. Based on my normal sizes I choose the large only to find this hat was much larger than any other large sized hat I've ever owned. Would have made a great sunscreen because it went down over my ears, covering my entire face, like a kid wearing dad's hat. Many of these style hats have some adjustment to compensate, this one does not. Aside from the size issue, the hat came carefully packed in an appropriately roomy box but was still crushed and would not assume its proper shape. I returned it for a refund and will look elsewhere for my replacement.
