Q: does it scratch the toilet?

No. I’ve been using Pumie for years with no scratching. The pumice is softer than porcelain yet it removes built up mineral deposits. My well water has a lot of manganese in it, and despite using filters and a softener, I still get a black ring. The ONLY thing that removes it is this pumice stone. Also, the Pumie stone lasts a long time.

It slowly melts away, but it lasts a long time. It’s great. I’ve used Pumie for years on my toilet bowls. Keeps them white and stain free. I’ll continue to buy this particular brand.

YES. Extremely effective and fast (5 min max) on 30+ year old THICK and rock hard toilet rings! I used $30 of acids, detergents, scrubbers, and several hours over several days, with NO improvement. I was done trying. Then I bought this as a last ditch effort (thinking it probably wouldn't work). Boy, was I wrong all along. In less then five minutes I effortlessly removed and polished two (2) "impossible" toilet bowl rings. Absolutely blew my mind. And I still have 2/3rds of the stick left. This WORKS!

Yes, in fact directions say to keep the pumie stone wet while using it. I used the water in the bowl while scrubbing until it got cloudy then flushed and started again.
