44pcs Nut and Bolt Thread Checker, 23 Inch & 21 Metric Box Set Thread Gauge, Thread Checker Standard and Metric Suitable for Size Checker of Bolts or Nuts in Narrow Areas

After years of guessing on fastener sizes and having to go back and forth between the car, the parts bin, and the tool box, I finally got wise and ordered this set of thread gauges. It includes pretty much every size you'll run into working on most vehicles with the exception of huge suspension fasteners for like shocks, CV axles, and other large bolts on the frame of the vehicle. I actually do quite a bit of mobile mechanic work so I really appreciate the sturdy plastic carrying case these come in because it's easy to take it from my toolbox to my truck and the case keeps all the gauges in place. I'm also impressed by the machining and finish of each gauge. They are clearly marked and color coated for metric and SAE sizes. I think this set was a tremendous value and they are a must for anyone who fixes cars, motorcycle, boats, or anything with nuts and bolts.

Definitely helpful to have around. Yes they have something similar at the hardware store but that does not always help you when you need to measure something at your house or cannot remove and take to the store to find the size. Have used many times, they quality and value are worth it. They have been accurate and the case is nice quality to keep them stored.

So far has worked out great. I often need to know what threads I have or am looking for and this set makes that much easier. Note they are made of aluminum so you just need to use care when checking a thread so as to not damage the pieces. I have not had any issues as I am accustom to machine parts and threading but I can see someone not careful damaging the test pieces. Its paid for itself almost right way. Good value as well. Also like the case and layout versus those on a cable or chain as easy to find what I am looking for. Yes maybe a little larger to transport but no issue in my shop. Also protects the test pieces as well.

This one surprised me. It’s a great product. Come with both coarse and fine + SEA and Metric. Bought it to put my bolt organizer to use and it’s 10x easier than using a ruler or caliper or 4$ size board from Lowe’s. The product comes in a decent case that has 2 layers of foam (top and bottom) the pieces include some really small one but they fit in the foam tightly and won’t shake out. All pieces are actually made out of metal which surprised me.

This kit has great quality. I did have to use adhesive to keep the top foam piece from falling out when I opened it. Super happy with it! Addendum 9/30/2024: I want to add, as one user pointed out, the text of the advertisement above incorrectly states that the material is carbon steel, which it is not. It is not magnetic and I would guess it is anodized aluminum. In any case, if used appropriately without excessive force, they have proven to be durable and allowed me to sort hundreds of SAE and metric nuts and bolts with no apparent wear. I still highly recommend them for general purpose use. They are not meant to be thread chasers.
