Does the job perfectly
Ideal for making kimchi or sauerkraut. Burping lid works well. I've learnt to stand it on a tray or plate in case any liquid escapes when the fermentation gets going. I wash by hand and then soak in water with a sterilising tablet.

My first Oscar
Our second attempt at making kimchi. Photo of red cabbage kimchi. First attempt was napa cabbage – both successful. Really pleased with this effective fermentation jar. Might have bought another two, but they’ve stopped selling them.

Thin glass
Thin, weak glass that broke just by putting the jar down on a kitchen counter. Really not robust enough, even in normal use.

2 quite nice fermentation jars.
I was quite impressed when I opened these, 2 solid looking squat fermentation jars with a nice wide neck to allow easy filling and removal, that fit easily inside my diminutive fridge. Currently only being used as storage jars ATM I'm still collecting ingredients to try making kimchi in them (I'm building up an amazon fresh order as the required radishes are cheapest on there). I have all the other needed things, just not the radishes, but finding £60 worth of 'needed' stuff on amazon fresh so that I can place an order, the radishes are under £3, is taking time. But the jars seem good. ETA - I have now used these to make kimchi in and it turned out very well, totally stoked that my first attempt worked so well. Now onto another batch of kimchi with sauerkraut in the other ;-)

Easy touse and clean
These were used at the weekend for some homemade Kimchi. The jars have a lid on them for easy purging of fermentation gases. They were easy to set up with the kimchi and they can be left in a cool dark place to do their thing. The purging of the gas was easily done. You can leave your stuff in the jar or pack into another. They were really easy to wash in warm soapy water. Kimchi isn’t the only thing you can use theses jars for.

Adorable little pots. But the second time use it cracked while filling with hot water for sterilisation. 😥 I cannot reach the seller but I really want a new pot!

Super Gläser gerade auch zur Aufbewahrung von Scoobys oder Essigmuttern.

Geruch kam bei mir leider durch das Glas durch - irgendwann riecht dann alles nach kimchi.
