Cat loved the toys. The ones in package that were refillable he ignored. Maybe the catnip in container is not as strong?

When the kitten first came to my house as a foster kitten, I ordered some toy fish that were, and still are so large he could barely play with them. Now there are two cats in the house, and one is a small cat and the other is standard. And these fish are a great size for any cat. I liked them so much; I ordered a second set to have as a backup.

UPDATEI was right. That found kitten from that original review turned out to be a tiny adult and she still shows no interest in these big fishies. She prefers the little fuzzy mice that she can carry in her mouth, or some of the jingle balls for chasing. But my adult (and possibly partially senile🙀) old cat regularly "catches" and wrestles them into submission, including alot of back-leg kicking! Then she walks around the house doing that mama-cat kitten call to come eat. When I found her, she was raising a litter by hunting for them in the 120-acre yard at our site. We didn't mess with the cats because they kept down rats, nutrias, and snakes, etc. between and under the shipping containers we used as storage. Anyway -- That very loud call echoing in the warehouse, where my office was, was HOW I found her with her babies. I had to trap the little ones, but Mamasan has been the light of my life for 11 years now. That's how long it's been since she had kittens to call! (Senile?🤔) At any rate, I put the fishes in a plastic bag with a sprinkle of catnip, for a day, occasionally, and then she really goes to town! It's really cute. She is a beautiful Bombay and the most responsive cat I've ever had. I like to make her happy. The "kitten" is now nearly 4 and hasn't slowed down. She occasionally zips by and sniffs the catnip but then she speeds off into the distance doing whatever it is she does. I just clean up behind her.~~~~~~~~~~~~My kitten will play with these if I interact with her using them, but most of them are too big for her to choose from her toy-basket on her own. She chooses those things she can easily carry in her mouth. When she does play with them, they are great for her to hold onto and kick with her back feet. They are great for that. She doesn't really care about the squeaky mice, but they do drive the dog nuts!

My kitties love their nip and some of their previous refillable toys were getting kind of old. The older toys had velcro closures over the pouch to put the nip in, which made it easy to fill and empty, but the nip always got on the velcro and made it a pain to close. I was looking for something with a zipper over the pouch that would make it easy to change out the nip. That's what drew me to this product, the zippered area to put in nip and the nice but varying sizes of the actual toys. I was a little disappointed when I got them though. I thought the pouch for the nip wouldn't have stuffing in it. This makes it hard to change out and put fresh nip in. Also, I had to remove a good portion of the stuffing just to get a decent amount in there. I liked that the nip isn't in one small spot but can move throughout the toy, and the fabric seems very breathable so you can really smell the nip. But the stuffing makes that a pain as well and I had to use my fingers to move the nip around and stuff it into the head and tail. I am not sure I would buy this product again. My cats seem to like the fishies though.

My cat has an obsession with fish toys. After reading these reviews, I thought they were worth trying. I did just throw out the tiny mice since they were flimsy and the eyes could easily come off and get ingested. But the variety of fish is a game changer. My cat lovers to bat them around the house and I frequently find them pushed under my bedroom door every morning. They seem sturdy especially since she's a chonky girl and plays rough.

My cats usually go psycho for catnip, but they couldn't care less about these fish. I don't think the catnip was catnip, or if it was, it was well past an expiration date and no longer effective. I gave the fish to my dogs as play toys.

I bought these for my youngest cat who loves stealing my fluffy socks and carrying them all over the house. I opened the package and threw a a couple on the floor and all three kitties loved them. They rubbed on them and rolled on them, fought them and slept on them! All of my kitties liked them! I have never had them respond to a catnip toy this way ... only the pure catnip worked for them. I can replace the catnip in the fish easily because each has a zipper pocket on the bottom. The fish look very realistic and have a velvety feel. I thought they would be more silky, but this fuzzy texture is better because my sock thief loves fuzziness! Another plus is that there are 5 fish of different sizes, and they are larger than most cat toys while still being lightweight. I haven't given them the 2 mice yet, but they have enjoyed toy mice in the past. This set comes with an extra bag of catnip to refill the fish with. I've seen similar single fish for $4-$5 each, so this bundle is a super bargain! Seller shipped really fast, too!

I've heard all about the soft, fillable hot peppers, bananas, cucumbers, and the like. I like the looks of these fishes more than other shapes. So I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. I'm really glad that I did.My kitties snuggle up to these cute fishes, and then the catnip kicks in and the wrestling starts!! With the effects of catnip, so far the fishes have won the battle! Really! My kitties play so cute with these. There are sufficient to satisfy all of them at once if needed. The material is sturdy, but very soft kinda like suede, but it's material and is more like microsuede. Very nice.They came with extra catnip and with some catnip already placed inside. I removed some of the cotton filling the fishes and put much more catnip in each one, then repacked the cotton for a little firmer feel.The fishes each have a very nice zipper to close the catnip compartment. These are not like the average catnip toys with Velcro that never works properly no matter how hard you work at it.So...great cat entertainment, safe, snugly, with no prickly Velcro to deal with. Excellent purchase!! I've let my cat loving kids know about these. I would buy these again.

Great lcollection of little, colourful soft toys for kitties. Oddly, somewhere in the order it said ‘requires batteries’ but none of them do.

I knew there were two sizes of these fish toys but the listing says it’s the larger of the two but when i received them i was disappointed to see that they were indeed the small version. they’re obviously still great but my big man of a cat has a hard time really playing with them

I thought when I bought these fish for my cats that they would go ape over them. They are very colorful, well made and durable. Unfortunately my guys are not as interested as I thought they would be. Other reviewers said their cats love them. I don't know. I have to wonder if the catnip inside has somehow lost it's scent because not one out of 10 has any interest at all. I think I might roll them around in some catnip I have and that might entice them. I think they're a great toy but I'm not a cat.

My cat loves catnip and loves it best when I stuff it in a toy for him, so he can throw it in the air and catch it between his paws and then lick it madly before he tosses it again. These toy fish can all be stuffed and they are quite large but skinny, so the cat has no trouble holding on to them. They come with a zipper which I prefer rather than the Velcro closing on all the other toys I have for him. After awhile the Velcro gets soggy from his licking, and harder to close from his pulling on it. But so far the zipper is holding well. Only time will tell. He likes the soft plush feel of the fish. The other toy mice are being withheld until Christmas and the other four fish too. One toy at a time. This is a very economical package. I have bought many toys for him and the kind you stuff with catnip cost $4.00 to $6.00 each, so this package is cheaper by far. Plus you get the little mice and some catnip to start with. I also bought another large catnip container for refilling along with these items.

The media could not be loaded.  Buying toys for my cat is always a risk - she's really picky when it comes to toys. She won't like just any mouse, she's very selective. Thank goodness she absolutely loves the two that come in this bundle! They squeak when she bites or pounces on them, it's adorable. It's not loud or annoying either. I like hearing the 'squeak' every now and then - it puts a smile on my face knowing that she's enjoying them.As for the fish, she prefers the skinny, smaller blue fish over the larger ones. I think it's because she's intimidated by larger toys in general. The skinnier fish roll around more easily when she bats them, so I think that makes them more enticing/satisfying to play with than the larger fish. I love it when she rolls around holding the fish in her paws, chewing the head while 'bunny kicking' its body with her feet. She gladly uses the larger fish as pillows for her naps - she uses pillows like a human!These toys are of great quality too. The printing on the body of the fish is clear and realistic. The tails of the mice are rubbery and strong. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this toy assortment to anyone with a cat that loves to play. I don't mind spending $20 on toys she likes to play with, as opposed to $5 toys she doesn't touch.
