Just like the title says. I use to buy Kaytee’s clean and cozy from the pet stores, but I got fed up with the amount of random trash that I would find.This BEDDING THOUGH:• Not dusty at all! Maybe like minimal. It doesn’t get dusty when replacing or doing a full bedding change when my hams needed it.• No smell• No trash or random colored pieces• HUGE AMOUNT FOR PRICE!• Expands in size (like kaytee’s)• Unbleached, no dyes, or whitening agents like other brands• Still soft! Not hard paper or that “paper-y” texture• Doesn’t cause respiratory problems when dumping into my hamster’s niteangels. Usually kaytee makes me sneeze and get itchy on my nostrils. This one doesn’t! Makes me more comfortable that if it doesn’t trigger my allergies than my hamsters must be safe and not inhaling dust particles either.• Holds burrows and hamster loves it. She’ll come up and pouch some and rearrange her enclosure as she prefers

The best bedding I have bought so far. Its super soft, no dust at all, my hamster loves it so much! If you’re going to buy a bedding get this one.

I'm an older cat owner in a multi-cat household. Buying litter, carrying it in the house, emptying litter boxes - it was all getting too much for me, and all of it was WAY TOO HEAVY. Not to mention the expense of clay-based litter, and the plastic jugs I had to recycle. I was looking around for alternatives - had tried pine, wood shavings - if it's on the market - I've tried it, and more than once. Bottom line - all 'cat' options never hit the sweet spot for me of no fragrance, cost-to-benefit ratio, weight, ease of use on the mom (me). And one day I found this product.It's amazing. I get many many litter box refills from the largest bag of bedding, the cats like it, its the right price, so easy for me to use, to carry in the house, no odor. The house doesn't smell like "cats" because I'm able to change litter quickly and easily, and most importantly, frequently. I love this product. Full disclosure: the downside is that there is tracking - but there is with any litter. My portable vac quickly takes care of the tracking. This product is a godsend for older owners who can't schlep around the weight of 20-pound bags of pine, or heavy jugs of clay litter. So glad I found this supplier. The product has been clean, bug free, odor-free, and it ships quickly. Wish I could put it on subscription

So I was really happy to have found this because it's a way better deal than critter care, or care fresh bedding. Way more, and way cheaper. I breed Dumbo rats, and have mice too, so I use a lot of bedding. This stuff is fluffy and comfortable for the animals. The only negative thing is that it's thinner slightly than the normal paper bedding so so I feel like it gets dirty a tiny bit faster. That isn't a deal breaker for me because it's a way better deal.

A little dusty but most bedding is. I like that it comes in a large size so that I can reuse the bag when I'm done. Is much better than using pine or cedar shavings with small pets, since those woods have natural pesticides that irritate little lungs (and human lungs with enough exposure!). Also better option than scented bedding which can be overpowering for pets. I also prefer the more neutral white color which also helps when spot cleaning since it makes urine more visible.

We were using this lavender scented granules bedding that smelled greatBUTAfter taking my daughter’s littlest piggy to the vet, we learned the scented bedding is actually harmful to their health. So I scoured Amazon for a cleaner alternative.We’ve used this bedding four times so far and our littlest guinea pig is sneezing less and less every time. It is nearly dust-free, chemical-free —therefore, bleach-free—, and not recycled from inked paper.It is unscented which was our greatest concern, and is pretty absorbent. Almost like Kaytee Clean & Cozy, minus the chemicals.It’s very compact, so it doesn’t look like it’s actually 56L. But after the second shipment, I realized that if I removed it from the packaging, pulled it apart and let it sit for the night, I’d get enough to fill a 76 inch long cage and a 56 inch long cage with some left over. I’d used the extra to deal with spots that were really dirty.But I think the guinea pigs don’t love that it’s white 🙃 they’re throwing their Timothy hay on top of it. They hot used to their darker bedding.I have to warn you that it’s made by a relatively small business so the batches are different in absorbency. But these never have traces of bleach or recycled materials in it.

Sheesh where do I start,1. This is the ONLY paper bedding that has a 99 percent dust free claim is believable. I clean the guinea pig room everyday(dusting included) and no matter how careful I am all the other popular beddings end up leaving ever single surface covered in dust.2. Also unlike the most popular white paper bedding sold in pet stores across the country, this paper bedding sucks up into my dyson handheld without constantly clogging it up with solid clumps formed when pee'd on. SPS paper bedding stays shredded up and saves me SOOO much cleaning time.3. AGAIN unlike the other major brands sold across the country this paper bedding uses zero harmful chemicals to aid in performance. Which is a joke in itself because by doing this they are really harming the animals that are laying in it.4. Discovering Small Pet Select back when I did was probably the best thing that ever happened for my guinea pigs. The range and quality of SAFE and healthy products they sell is second to none. You could just about start and end with everything you need simply by using them.5. They are a family owned business that seriously gives you that small store vibe of truly caring about you and your pet. All the little extra things they do and give you is awesome.Finally just so anyone reading this knows, I have nothing to do with small pet select. Never worked for them, don't know anyone who ever has, and I gain nothing from leaving this comment. I'm just a guy from San Diego who loves my piglets and spends alot of time making sure I don't end up fooled by products disgustingly promoted for my animals that are actually terrible for them.

I tried every bedding I could find. The paper pellets have sharp edges and all the other paper beddings are incredibly dusty.This one is dusty too, but acceptable in comparison. My winter white is safe with it.

Mi spiace dirlo ma c fossero 0 stelle ne avrei messe 0. Il materiale non è CARTA, ma lo stesso materiale delle salviette umide sminuzzato, alcuni pezzi più grandi altri più piccoli, misto a cotone, misto a materiale che sembra nastro adesivo senza la parte della colla. Mi sono messa a scartare i pezzi non idonei ottenendo meno di 1/10 del prodotto idoneo (in 45 minuti ho ottenuto un pugnetto di materiale - quindi anche se si vuol risparmiare rispetto a prodotti più costosi, alla fine si butta via la maggior parte del pacco), nonostante ciò, 12 ore dopo ho cambiato questa lettiera (dato che ilCriceto ci dorme lo cambio ogni giorno in quel punto) e la lettiera era bagnata. Mai avuto problemi con CareFresh, sempre asciutta anche per 72h. Bocciata per la sicurezza dell’animale e per la sua funzione assorbente.

This product is a bad value for money. Paper quality is poor and feel clumped.Also price has doubled in 6 months. Cheeky sellers

Pros: 1. High value for your money (paid approx 56 CAD for 178L)2. Good absorbency3. Very fluffy almost like shredded tissue paper4. Relatively low dust (best part is it doesn't trigger my dust mite and pine/aspen wood allergies)Cons:1. Although absorbent, the bedding doesn't do a very good job of keeping animal smell down (2.)resulting in more frequent spot cleaning than some leading brands of bedding. (However it's almost the comparable to brands like Kaytee and Carefree [the regular, no baking soda one] where I have to clean the cage at a similar rate.)Overall in my opinion, if you're looking for a bedding that combats animal smell, it would be better to opt for either corncob or paper bedding with baking soda in it (you can always mix it with this to help cut down costs so you don't have to only spend on the more expensive stuff). Otherwise this bedding does it's job on it's own, it absorbs animal waste product like shredded tissues and has the best value for it's dollar. It also doesn't trigger basic allergies towards dust mites and wood pollen.
