I carry around one of those folding clipboards for work that has a few sheafs of papers in it at any given time. I need to have a black pen and a pencil with me and it’s important that I don’t have the pen and pencil flying out of the thing every time I open and close the clipboard. So, I purchased these adhesive pen/pencil holders with the intention of mounting them on the inside of my clipboard to secure the writing implements accordingly. Not a lot to ask right?It’s a hard plastic clipboard. The adhesive on these doesn’t stick worth a DAMN and they fall off religiously.Now, I knew better: when I applied them to the clipboard, I cleaned the inside surface of the clipboard with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry thoroughly, then I attached the pen/pencil holders and held them firmly in place for 60 seconds each to let the adhesive set. Then, I let them sit overnight before I ever put any pens or pencils in them. And yet still after less than two days of use they were falling off.Worse? These aren’t snug enough to hold a standard pencil- your garden variety Dixon-Ticonderoga #2HB pencil just falls right out. Then, the black pens that I’ve always used… Uni-Ball Elite Vision Pro’s… are too large so they pop out of them and don’t stay secure.Suffice to say… this is a poorly-designed, badly-executed product that I could NOT recommend any LESS. Stay FAR away.

These are good for holding pencils. But I was hoping that they would be larger and strong enough to hold a laser pointer. It barely holds a Sharpy marker.
