Good pack for a school, day hike, sightseeing or as carry-on.
I was interested in this backpack because of the utilitarian design and water-resistant construction. I’ve experienced leaks through zippers before and it appeared this backpack would mostly avoid those issues by using large storm flaps and buckles. Only two small pouches on the back use zippers, but the zippers are protected by storm flaps. From the limited time I’ve had this pack, it is indeed highly resistant to water intrusion. The exterior material repels water well and the interior feels like a raincoat. The top opening under the flap even sinches up tight like a rain hood. I hesitate to use the word “waterproof” as I haven’t taken it out in a storm for hours or days, but I have dowsed it with a hose and now have confidence in its ability to keep my belongings dry.The main compartment is roomy with sleeves for your laptop, chargers, and other peripherals. There is plenty of room for books, clothes, or what have you. With the pack on my back, it feels comfortable but a bit like a duffle since there isn’t any real structure to it. It does work very well as a sling pack over one shoulder, and it is a good size for a carry-on bag. It rides well on my back and shoulders without digging in, but there isn’t any kind of padding on the back. While I like many things about the pack overall, there are some things to note. The main compartment laptop sleeve easily fit my 13” Dell but the 15” was a no-go. Also, the two outside pockets are not particularly well suited for water bottles as there is no way to secure them. A 20 oz. cup fits fine and is securely buckled in under the storm flap. A larger bottle can’t be secured in the pocket and there aren’t any rings to hang a bottle with a carabiner. With a bottle holding the flap open, the pocket would fill with rainwater since there aren’t any drain grommets. Another issue is that the outside zippered pouch isn’t large enough for my wife’s Samsung S23+ phone, so it must go in the larger zippered compartment, which makes it inconvenient to find quickly. All in all, this is a good pack for uses like day hikes, sightseeing and carry-on. I'd like it better if there was a way to secure a water bottle, but I don't think that will be a problem because my grandson and granddaughter are fighting over which of them gets it for school.

Large and sturdy travel pack
Many thanks to you, fellow jungle explorers, as well as the seller for the chance to try Funyago Heavy Duty backpack and share my experience. This is a big ol' bag, with good material, pockets, D rings, and clips galore. It arrives folded and clipped to half its expanded size, illustrating the smallest optional configuration, but I doubt I'll ever use or even remember that lockdown. The advantage here is the 40 liter travel capacity, which exceeds many sport duffles. The entire back panel is lined with foam, which lends a bit of structure and serves as one side of the a fully padded laptop compartment. As the other review notes, that pocket is designed for devices 13" and under; most of the interior is granted to unstructured packing space, but there are 2 smallish slip pockets stacked with 2 net pockets near the opposite top opening. I don't love the loooong, unsecured fly clips that dangle from the bottom when not locked in place. I have taken to using the nearby side pocket cover clips to secure them most of time, so I don't have to cinch, then flip, then clip, then tighten each and every single time I want to carry the bag somewhere. Even so, like it very much--worth the buy with current coupon.
