I bought the Acer Predator GM7 2TB SSD as an upgrade for my system, and I’m really impressed with it so far. Installation was very straightforward – slot it into the M.2 port, tighten one screw, and it was recognised immediately. No issues with formatting or setting it up as a boot drive. Performance-wise, it’s excellent. Windows boots in seconds, games and large applications load noticeably faster, and file transfers are very quick. Everything feels much more responsive compared to my older SATA SSD. For a PCIe Gen4 drive, the speeds are more than enough for gaming, general productivity and some light content creation. Temperatures have been perfectly reasonable as well, even without a fancy aftermarket heatsink – just using the standard motherboard heatsink has kept it under control during heavy use. The drive is completely silent and has been rock solid with no crashes or strange behaviour. Overall, this is a great choice if you want a big, fast NVMe drive without paying silly money for “flagship” branding. 2TB gives plenty of space for the OS, software and a good library of games. I’m very happy with this upgrade and would definitely recommend the Predator GM7 to anyone looking to boost their laptop or desktop storage and speed.

Used this for nearly a month now, downloaded quite a few games, and its working wonderfully! Downloads stupidly fast and was really really easy to install and I'm really happy with the price which at the time was £118!

Just an absolute beast of a drive. Games play flawlessly, especially demanding ones cyberpunk 2077 even on ludicrous settings this handles it with ease, same with cod anything that requires an ultra smooth fast transition. This is the drive to buy. I'd just purchased the 5070ti and coupled with maximus xi formula motherboard and other high end parts it has literally transformed my pc. Absolutely love it. Games feel faster cod now is just so different no blocks when loading in everything is instant. The graphics now aren't throttled by my older m.2 drive was only 500gb so I've pit that into pcie slot with an adapter. Works a treat to. But this really is a monster of a drive. Worth every penny, infact I'd pay more lol. Absolutely made up with this purchase. Ultra fast.

As expected. Works fine and is fast

I use my PC for video editing. I use Davinci Resolve Studio. I have a high spec 1TB NVMe for the operating system and software. This 2TB Acer Predator NVMe is what I use to store my video, audio etc. files from my cameras and microphones. It works well and I edit 4K without proxies etc. As a storage device, this is fast enough for me, good enough for me and I would certainly buy again! 2TB is large enough that I can edit several videos at the same time and is enough to store many days worth of 4K footage from multiple cameras.

Good quality SSD drive. Easy to install and set up. Functions well, with extremely fast transfer rates. Boots up in no time. Of course that depends on how many start up apps you have going. It's compatible with Tomahawk X870E WIFI, running Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor.

Installed this in my NASync system and was immediately impressed. The GM7 delivers excellent Gen4 speeds — I consistently see read/write speeds above 6,000MB/s, making it ideal for OS boot, gaming, or media-heavy workflows. It runs surprisingly cool even without a dedicated heatsink, which is a bonus in tighter cases or fanless enclosures. The 2TB capacity gives plenty of room for large files, and performance remains consistent even under sustained loads — no noticeable thermal throttling. For a drive at this price point, it punches well above its weight. Reliable, fast, and perfect for both desktop and NAS environments. Highly recommended if you want serious Gen4 speed without paying flagship prices.

Ho acquistato l’Acer Predator GM7 da 1TB e l’ho installato su piattaforma AM5 con scheda madre B650 e CPU Ryzen serie 9000. Le prestazioni sequenziali sono eccellenti e perfettamente in linea con un buon NVMe PCIe 4.0: in lettura si arriva a circa 7400 MB/s e in scrittura intorno ai 6500 MB/s, valori molto alti che si notano soprattutto nei trasferimenti di file pesanti e nei caricamenti dei giochi. Anche le prestazioni random sono buone. Nei test 4K a coda alta il disco si comporta molto bene, segno che regge senza problemi carichi più pesanti e multitasking. Nel 4K Q1T1 in lettura non è tra i migliori in assoluto, alcuni modelli più costosi fanno qualcosa in più, ma nella pratica quotidiana la differenza è davvero minima e non influisce sull’esperienza d’uso reale. Le temperature sono sempre sotto controllo e non ho riscontrato throttling, nemmeno dopo benchmark prolungati. Il firmware risulta aggiornato tramite il software ufficiale Acer/Biwin e la stabilità è ottima. Considerando che l’ho pagato circa 130 euro, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è molto valido. Non è l’SSD migliore in assoluto per i benchmark più estremi, ma per gaming, sistema operativo e uso quotidiano offre prestazioni elevate e affidabili, senza spendere cifre da top di gamma. Consigliato a chi cerca un NVMe PCIe 4.0 veloce, equilibrato e con prestazioni reali molto solide.
