Astonishingly Good - EPOS Cooked Here
Short story - The EPOS Impact 800 is comfortable for large heads, has good sound quality and ANC, and has the best mic I have ever heard on a headset. Worth the investment for service desk, call center, or customer support people.Long story -I’ve been looking for a work headset for a while. I’ve got a large, head, with ears to match. I also work in the IT contact center for a large, open office. For a while, I was suffering with the Jabra Evolve 65 provided to me. Small, with a hard plastic headband, an a mic that doesn’t capture my voice well in a quiet environment, let alone when the office gets going. After a few video reviews, I come across EPOS’s new Impact 800. I, after some thought, decide to buy it.I am welcomed by a plain box, containing the headset, the USB-C to USB-A adapter, and a carrying pouch for the headset.it’s a business product after all, can’t say I’m surprised. What did surprise me, after dealing with both Jabra and Logitech offerings, is the comfort. I have a large head, and this headset can easily fit around it with room to spare. This fit is important for the ANC, which does a good job of quieting down office noise. However, it won’t do the same level of ANC as headphones like Bose or Sony, but it does an admirable job for the size and price. In terms of sound quality, it’s good! For your average work headset. It’s loud, clear, and does a good job of representing voices, it’ll hold up to music well, but don’t be expecting to bump bass outta these. Now, the microphone. This is where the magic happens. Whatever EPOS did to make the microphone perform this good needs to be studied.Using the ANC mics and onboard intelligence, the Impact 800 will cancel out people talking, dogs barking, motorcycles riding by. You name it. There isn’t any noise making it into your call.Last but not least, build quality. The headset is built well, a mix of different plastic. Pleather ear ups, and a soft touch rubber material on the headband that covers the foam padding.

Great headset!
I used this headset for the first time yesterday, and I was really impressed! I participated in a three-hour meeting, and the sound quality was fantastic. I could hear everything clearly, and there were no complaints about background noise or any disturbances from other participants. It made for a seamless and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend it!

As a work headset, definitely 5 stars - the other end can't hear anything except my voice.
The noise-cancelling microphone (what they hear) is amazing. I've had loud background music, I've sat in a coffee shop buzzing with conversation, I've even banged the table next to me... and all the person on the other end can hear is my voice! For online meetings when you've got stuff going on around you, this headset is life-changing.The noise-cancelling headphones (what I hear) is so-so. Nowhere near as good as the Sony over-the-ears noise-cancelling headphones that I have, but since I use this headset for work rather than music etc, it's not too much of an issue.
