amFilm Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S8, 3D Curved Tempered Glass, Dot Matrix with Easy Installation Tray, Case Friendly (Black)

After purchasing a new Samsung Galaxy S8 cellphone, I thought I'd have to return it because there would be no screen protector that completely worked. If you've been searching for a screen protector for the S8, you no doubt came across the many poor design reviews (thank you Amazon community for your valuable input); some protectors that don't hold at the edges and simply fall off, others that when installed cannot be used because the touch sensitivity has become almost unusable, etc. I myself have studied many screen protectors available on the Amazon website and was amazed at how many from seemingly different manufacturers, have the same problems. I finally purchased one that I thought had some chance of working but when received and installed, it was the same story. It simply didn't work and had to be returned (thank you Amazon for accepting the return after trying it out).Now we come to the "amFilm Screen Protector," manufactured by TechMatte. Like most other manufacturers, the product is curved, tempered glass. However, that's where the similarities end. First, TechMatte provides an intelligent 2-page installation guide that, with photos, explains the procedure. Second, it provides both wet and dry towelettes as well as a soft cloth to thoroughly clean the cellphone surface prior to the installation. And third and most important, it provides an "installation tray" to accurately set the screen protector in place. So once the installation tray is securely placed on the cellphone and the protective film from the screen protector is removed, the screen protector is placed into the installation tray, bottom edge first and that followed by the full screen protector placed into the tray. Thereafter, the installation tray is removed and the four edges of the screen protector are firmly secured by pressing down all sides. It sounds complicated but believe me, it's really very easy.The end result is a totally accurate placement of the screen protector, permitting attachment of the protective case without any ill effects of cellphone usage. The touch sensitivity is perfect (without any "crackling" effect when selecting an icon or texting), and the protector stays firmly in place. I believe that the reason this screen protector is so superior to others is because the tempered glass sizing has been more accurately cut, particularly at the four corners where maybe it isn't rounded as others, and also because of the special attention to the installation, using an installation tray to insert the screen protector.It's a little more expensive then the others but well worth it. Hats off to TechMatte for creating an outstanding product!

Easy to use. Installed with good adhesion and almost no bubbles. Scratch resistant and does feel secure!

After I cracked my Galaxy S8 screen and had to pay $170 to get it fixed, I decided to invest in a screen protector, and this one has been great so far! I haven't dropped my phone since I've installed it (I might update this review if my phone takes another tumble), but from the first several weeks, I can say that I've noticed no diminished quality in the graphics of my phone, or in the touch sensitivity. It fits perfectly with my Otterbox case, and I honestly think that it's pretty smudge/scratch resistant too (I haven't noticed as much surface damage as I did when I didn't have a screen protector). The only slightly annoying thing is that with the black finishing around the edge of the protector, the bottom edge of the command center is a little smaller than it was. Again, that's not a big issue at all (and it's only noticeable in some apps that have a white command bar, like Gmail or Google Chrome).It was also super easy to install! I remember getting flimsy screen protectors for my iPhone back in the day and always having air bubbles, no matter how hard I tried. But the installation kit - and the quality of the protector - made the application seamless.All in all, I definitely recommend this screen protector!UPDATE: I finally did some damage to this screen protector (and it definitely took more than a few drops before cracking!), after around a year of having it. It protected my screen perfectly (see the photos above - the protector is cracked, but the underlying screen is perfectly fine). One of the other great benefits to this product - within 30 days of purchasing, you can register a LIFETIME WARRANTY for the protector, for up to 2 replacements! So instead of buying a completely new protector when this one cracked, I just claimed one of my replacements under my warranty, and now I'm getting a new one for free! Basically, if you register your warranty for this product, you'll be guaranteed 3 screen protectors for the price of one. DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER YOUR PRODUCT!

This is my second time purchasing this screen protector. I've also tried a different one purchased off Amazon that had two screens for the same price but sucked...both fell off within a couple days, so went back to this one. This one is easy to install, stays put, and no touch screen issues. Recommended
