Mob Psycho 100: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

This is a fantastic series. Seriously. When I first saw it, I didn't know if I would like it. The overall style is much more abstract than normal shows are, and on a surface level, the drawing doesn't look amazing.But then I watched it, and I gotta say--this show has heart. The animation, the story, the characters, just, all of it. At a surface level, the animation isn't amazing, but then you learn the history (the original artist, ONE, is not exceptionally skilled at art, but kept drawing anyway and produced One Punch Man and Mob Psycho, but Mob Psycho actually reflects ONE's original style), and suddenly you appreciate the skill that went into bringing an overall inconsistently drawn manga to life in a beautiful way, while still keeping the aesthetic of the original art. Seriously, there are so many techniques used to animate this show, so much creativity, so much artistry.My favorite part has to be the characters. The main character, Mob, and the main secondary character Reigen are two amazing protagonists. Both of them work to completely subvert the shounen genre, and Mob especially is one of the most endearing, sweet main characters that I've already seen. It takes the emotionless angsty powerful main character trope and turns it on its head. I don't want to give much away, but he is so, so sweet.Also, I gotta say--the English dub is really good. While I'm normally a sub-watcher, this show is one where I don't mind what I watch. All of the voice actors match their characters pretty well (some better than others, but Mob and Reigen fit perfectly, and that's most important), making the show enjoyable in either language. Some of the jokes land better in Japanese than they do in English (there's one in particular that deals with differences between Japanese and English speakers, and just doesn't make as much sense in English), but most of it translates pretty well.Anyway, I would totally recommend this series. While some of the abstraction may not be for everyone, what it does, it does well.

For fans of One Punch Man, MOB PSYCHO 100 has every ounce of humor, kinetic action through stunning animation, and more. MOB has heart and a great character development, and as it’s story unfolds you realize that ONE (the writer/creator of the One Punch Man manga as well as the MOB manga) not only accells at writing humor, but also drama and tension.I personally feel the shounen rival trope to be a bit played out, but the way it is presented here between Shigao and his brother is both special and feels real without overshadowing the humor.I cannot recommend this show enough, between the excellent character development and the absolutely eye popping animation, it is a hands-down must watch for any anime fan.

I didnt begin watching anime until I was around 19. (I'm almost 22 now) I've always had a negative bias towards anime tv shows and no interested in exploring it further. The first real anime I watched, the anime that opened my eyes to my ignorance, was One Punch Man. Since then I've finished and enjoyed a hand full of shows. I was excited to check Mob Psycho 100 out of course due to the creator. Boy have I never been more impressed. This Blu Ray does it justice. I could watch this series over and over and I can't say that about many things. The intro, the comedy, the art, the story, it's all 10/10. Easily in my Top 5 of all time.

My daughter loves the show, and the disks seem to play fine.

If you’re on the fence because of the price, don’t be. Also it’s not the whole series it’s just the 1st season FYI.

I'm a big fan of the One Punch Man series, so I purchased this after only seeing the first three episodes and finding it hilarious and very surreal. What I wasn't expecting was how intense and investing it would actually become in the fourth episode, which is where the story really kicks into high gear and raises the stakes with very dangerous consequences for the characters (but it still maintained its fantastic sense of humor throughout). I love this show and I really hope a second season gets released at some point.

This is my favorite series and everything about the product itself looked great, 10/10 would highly recommend. However; the description is very misleading as this is not the complete series, only season 1. If you only want season 1 then this is a solid choice. If you want all three then don’t buy this. Definitely reading all of the fine print next time lol.

One of my all time favorite Anime and it looks amazing on Blu ray. I would have to say that Funimation removing it from their streaming service helped me decide to get this right away and I can definitely recommend it. I can't wait to get season 2.

This is an awesome light hearted show with a seemingly normal kid that just so happens to be the most powerful psychic on the planet. I liked this one way more than One Punch Man. Although most of the characters would be what most would consider unlikable misfits, it kinda works for the plot. Also I can relate with the themes of trying to find ones identity in a world where you really can't just be you.

Funny! The characters were likeable, and I enjoyed the English voice acting. It was over before I knew it, most of the episodes are on one disk, then you put in the second disk with only a couple episodes left. I was like "that's it?! I want more".
