I find this kitchen tool extremely convenient and a good design for slicing meat, like jerky. It’s easy to clean and well built. I like the guard so the sharp points don’t damage my leather knife roll. It’s good for anything that requires thin slicing. It’s a great price point and value.

This onion holder is interesting. It is functional, makes slicing a rounded object through the tines easy enough and cuts slices into similar sizes, is rather flat so does not take up a lot of room to store, and is nicely designed. I like the idea of it, but will it become a tool I remember to use as a must have gadget to improve my life? Possibly not. The very sharp needle pointed tines could be problematic if children, elderly, or careless people were using it. Highly recommend keeping the plastic cover to place back on those sharp tines, and be careful when doing so. Not super easy to line it all up without stabbing fingers.

No more risking life and limb just to slice onions!Sure...it's great for getting nice, uniform slices of virtually anything... But nothing beats being able to effortlessly slice my favourite edible without ANY fear!

I bought this for work because I work at a restaurant and we slice/dice a lot of onions and tomatos. I was hoping it would both hold the food steady and help me make it even slices but it did not make the slices even at all, however it did hold the onion together. It works okay for dicing since the slices don’t necessarily need to be even for that but when it comes to slicing onions and tomatoes for sandwiches (needs to be thin, even slices) it doesn’t work well. It’s a great idea and not a bad product, it just didn’t happen to work well for what I needed it for.
