Got this pen for a gift! The pen is very classy! It comes in a beautiful box, which makes the presentation great! The pen writes really well, and comes with refills. Excellent price!

I don't know a lot about fancy pens so keep that in mind as you read this review. The pen and 2 refills come in a nice box, although the gold pad that you see in my photos had come unglued and was haphazardly sliding around in the box upon arrival. Still, it looks nice when correctly placed. The design is pretty overall. I like the shiny black animal scales look on the pen. The dragon is a little too large and shiny for my taste but the design concept is good. The pen overall is quite heavy. Most of the weight is in the cap. You can choose not to put the cap on the end of the pen while writing but I like to keep the pen together-it's just easier.I absolutely love how it writes. If flows smoothly and the ink dries quickly. There is no smudging at all. I actually feel that this pen makes my handwriting look much better than it actually is! I'm glad it has 2 replacement ink cartridges because I have no idea if I can find refills for it but I'm sure going to try because I like how it writes. I think it will eventually need a new tip and again, I wonder if I'll find one easily. For now though, this is a pretty pen that writes very well but is on the heavy side in terms of overall weight. If you wanted to present it as a gift, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Beautiful pen for a gift to a friend

This pen set feels more luxurious than it's price point would make it seem. It looks fantastic. It has a nice heft to it. The ink rolls out smoothly. A great gift for a writer or anyone who needs to sign documents. It presents well and has great packaging.

The product matches the description and product photos. The presentation box is heavy, nicely finished cardboard but gives a very nice first impression so it would be good for a gift or presentation. The pen itself has nice year of the dragon details with a hexagon finish that is what I might call a "dragon scale" finish.My first impression of the pen is that it is heavier than most pens that I use. Once the heavy top is removed (it just pulls off), the pen is still a little on the heavy side but is not as noticeably heavy. It turns out much of the weight is in the top. The pen writes very smoothly but still has just enough resistance to feel good and under control at all times. The weight and solid but smooth feel of the pen communicates substance and quality. When replacing the cap, it smoothly clicks into place with a solid and precise feel.The pen comes with a refill in place and two additional refills. The points are all 0.5 mm which is a fine point so it is possible to write with good detail. Even with the relatively fine point, the ink flow produces a very readable line that should work well in general use.This is a very nice pen, especially at this price point whether for a gift or for personal use.

For a little background - I like to use a mix of fountain, rollerball, and ballpoint pens in my daily rotation. I'm no stranger to the realm of unique and good-quality pens at various price points. This is a great addition to my rotation! It writes really well with the included refills, and the quality of the pen is solid for the given price point. The quality packaging is a big plus if you intend on giving this as a gift.A couple points to consider: this is a heavy pen, even without the cap posted. If heavy pens aren't your thing, I'd skip this one. My main downside, and why I docked a star: while this pen comes with a couple of ink refills, they seem to be something proprietary. I compared dimensions and design against common (and less-common) ink refills, and this seems to use something unique. That's a downside for me because I like my ballpoints / rollerballs to use easily-attainable refills, otherwise, you're investing in a writing instrument that essentially has a set lifespan. I'll keep an eye out to see if I can prove myself wrong and refills are out there, and down the road, I may try some 'close' refills to see if anything might work.

This pen is gorgeous inside & out. First, the ink just rolls out perfectly, no stutters, no skips, & no blobs. Having a pen that writes so beautifully is always a pleasure but it is even better when the outside packaging is just a wonderful. The pen clip is a dragon with the head graced by 2 ruby eyes. While it might appear a bit masculine, I, for one love it as I am a big dragon lover. The gold & black pen casing has a nice semi-textured grip that makes the pen lovely to hold & write with. The set includes two additional ink refills which is awesome. My only concern is whether or not I will be able to get more refills when I need them. I'd hate to not be able to use my new favorite pen!
