Helpfull book. Clear to understand which makes learning easy. Great for those struggling in the classroom or just a head start. Makes maths easy to grasp. Worth buying!

Good book

I bought this book to help my kids with their problem-solving skills, and it has been really useful. The activities are engaging and age-appropriate for 7-9-year-olds. The explanations are clear, which makes it easy for them to understand. We use it for a bit of learning each day, and I've noticed an improvement in their reasoning skills. Overall, a solid choice for home learning!

I assumed from the description of the book that the problems would be similar to those people met in the real world, like the price comparisons given in the sample pages. This is only partly true. For example, in the section on visiting a library, readers are ask to calculate the perimeter of books. This seems like a definition of a pointless task. Otherwise the book was good, with clear explanations age-appropriate tasks.

Many questions in the book can be applied to real life scenarios like calculating the price to pay for items after some discounts, and the carpet area and its price for the room. The underlying maths calculation aren't difficult, as the focus is in understanding the problem, this is exactly what I needed for my kid.

Aunque el libro puede ser un poco desafiante para niños de 7-8 años, ya que está diseñado para apoyar el currículum del Reino Unido, es fantástico para los niños de 9 años en adelante. En resumen, "Problem Solving and Reasoning Ages 7-9" es un excelente recurso educativo que combina aprendizaje y diversión de una manera muy efectiva.
