Nearly very good
This is quite a standard baseplate style compass and has most of the features you’d expect. However there is on slight emission, from a UK perspective, which is that there isn’t a 1:50,000 scale. So while the 1:25,000 scale covers OS Explorer maps, the lack of the other scale means that it would be difficult measuring distance on OS Landranger series maps.Otherwise the compass is fine; it points north and the bezel stays put after being turned. There are a couple of minor blotches in the ink, but nothing that makes it unusable.

A great navigation compass
This plastic compass works well. Initially I needed to lay it flat so a few minutes for it to settle and get it's bearings. Other than that it does what it says. It has a lanyard plus a magnification circle so perfect to lay flat on maps and documents.
