Assuming you're of the male gender, odds are that sometime in your life, a woman told you not to use her sharp but apparently fragile scissors for ... well, anything. Okay, so they're not made in the US, but the "old SK" didn't even make scissors. Besides, these scissors are heavy. And sharp. And they work hard, just like you. Man...drop forged, kinda alittle maybe a bit heavier. Heavy but balanced in the hands. Cheerful green handles that I think could be real rubber. Much more comfortable than plastic. These scissors seem large but so precise you can cut through nearly any kind of artboard. Such control on this ultra-precision blade. Yes large, but can perform all tasks better. No crappy pivot cap to fall off or disintegrate. No plastic handles that have maybe a two year life. Get this rock-solid hourshold/office item. Feel the power. Just kidding.

I've used S-K tools since the 70s and they've never let me down. The oldest ones still function as new and don't look bad despite fairly steady use over the years. These scissors are excellent general purpose scissors for both heavy duty and fine cutting jobs. Their weight and ergonomics make them a pleasure to use.

If you have large hands or use scissors with gloves, then these are the scissors for you. Nice and sharp.

Handle is a little small, seriously heavy duty scissors. They are a lot heavier duty than other construction scissors, closer to shears. You could easily cut someone's ear off with them, not that I would. If the handle wasn't so tight I would have given 5 stars, my hands aren't even big. The scissors are pretty heavy weight wise as well.

Very high quality as expected for SK tools. They cut through cardboard and aluminum soffit wrap with ease. Great product and very fair price.
