I finally got the soundbar I wanted at the price I wanted. The sound quality of this device is excellent. It makes you feel like you are in a movie theater. The remote is about as simple as you can get. There are the 5 input buttons, HD arc, bluetooth, optical, Aux, and usb. There are three mode buttons, movie, voice, and music. I did not notice that much difference between the three modes, but I did notice that the movie mode has the best bass and surround sound. I just leave it on that setting. There are no bass or treble buttons, but I like how they are balanced in every mode. I played the last star wars movie and was very happy with how it sounded. The voice quality, even with the deep bass, was excellent. I never found myself trying to understand what everyone was saying. My 55 " TV had excellent internal speakers, but this sound bar was a definite improvement over the TV speakers, especially the bass sound and the voices, which was all I was looking for. This sound bar was $109 which was just a little higher than the other two I tried out. I liked one of them and kept it for my 32" TV and it was an improvement over that TV's speakers, just not a lot better than my 55" TV. I returned the other one even though it was OK, it just was not better than the 55" TV speakers. This sound bar was also much better made, almost all aluminum framing and chassis. hardly any plastic, which the other two were made of. I was hoping the volume would be a little better. I generally had to set the volume at between 40 - 60 for most of the music I listen to and about 70 for the star wars movie, but other movies were at about 50. Of course I like the sound to be a little higher than probably most people, especially the bass. For most TV shows around 40 seems about right. So far the commercials seem to be at about the same volume as the TV show or movie, not way higher. I can use the TV remote to change the volume and turn everything off using Hdmi Arc for the connection. If I just leave the mode on movies, I really don't need the sound bar remote any more. I have not tried the optical or bluetooth connection, I just feel like the Hdmi Arc connection is the best.

I like this sound bar. It does the job well. The Amazon site states that this product is often returned to the seller by customers. I suppose the main reason is that the product shuts off on its own every several minutes which is very annoying. I take one star down for this, but what compelled me to write this review, is to say to other buyers that we don't need to return the product for this reason. I contacted the seller via Amazon Customer Service, and exposed the problem, and they immediately, the next day, sent me a link to download a firmware update with clear instructions on how to apply the patch, and the problem got immediately solved. So, kudos to the seller for being responsive to a customer's concern, and getting it entirely solved in the time frame of 24 hours! The Amazon Customer Service representative had told me, "let's send a message to the seller about this; they have a history of being extremely responsive to customers' concerns!" Indeed, they are! I was very impressed by how fast my issue got satisfactorily addressed!Still, I'm keeping the 4-star rating rather than a 5-star, because one might still think that it would have been easier if the seller or the maker had applied the firmware patch to the product before shipping it. This is a suggestion for the seller and/or the maker: do this update to the firmware before the product gets to the customer, and I bet the rate of return will be way smaller, given that other than for this annoying but easily fixable glitch, the product is very good and very well-priced. Shipping it like it is and putting the customer through the inconvenience of fixing it after getting frustrated with the issue, does take one star from the rating. But again, the fix was clearly instructed and worked very well so this should not be a reason not to buy this product.Another suggestion for the seller: if it is not possible to apply the patch before shipping the product (it would have to involve opening the plastic wraps and some customers might think that the product was used or refurbished rather than brand new), then, just send the link and the instructions to the customers simultaneously with shipping the product, or add to the package a sheet of instructions mentioning the problem and its easy fix so that customers can do it immediately upon opening up the package and setting up the item.

This sounds great for the price and fits our needs.We first had it on a shelf directly under the tv, and I wasn’t impressed with the sound. All we needed to do was move it away from the tv and wall just a touch and the sound improved dramatically

I wanted something for extra sound during football games without having to turn on the whole home theater. this is louder than expected but not perfect.pro• the room is around 26' x 20', main seat is about 9' from the speaker. at full volume (what I normally use for games) I was unable to hear the microwave in the kitchen ping it was done. that's something I can normally hear. I almost couldn't hear my phone ping in my pocket so this can produce some volume.• multiple inputs/sources to use. I just use the optical but kept the old cable in place.• all cables came in the box. again, I used my old optical but nice to have new extra along with the other ones.con - the remote, they cheaped out. when you touch it, you can tell it's cheap. very light, not a lot of functions. another thing is you have 'double click' often. the first click = wake up, second click = do the action. so to mute an annoying commercial, I have to hit it 2x. but if the device has gotten a signal in say the last 30 secs, you only click once. beyond annoying to have to figure out how many clicks when I really want to do something in a hurryoverall, it will do for now but that remote thing on the guessing click will prob make me get something else later

Sound quaily is good for the price but speaker arrived broken a big crack acrossed the bar on the top and a chunk of plastic rattling around inside also was suppose to be 2 day shipping took almost 2 and a half weeks for it to arrive

Bought this for my husband who is a little hard of hearing. Works wonderfully for him. Easy set up.
