For kids & adults must read
Harari is known for his engaging and accessible writing, making complex topics understandable."Unstoppable Us, Volume 1" is a thought-provoking and entertaining read. It's a perfect introduction for those curious about human history and the factors that shaped our world. The book reads almost like an adventure story, keeping you hooked as you learn how humans, seemingly disadvantaged compared to other creatures, conquered the planet. The book shines a light on the unique human abilities that set us apart – language, cooperation, and tool development, etc, and how these seemingly simple skills became the foundation for our dominance. It includes maps, timelines, and illustrations, making the journey through history even more engaging, especially for visual learners. If you're a fan of Harari's previous works or simply fascinated by the human story, this book is a must-read. Just be aware that it's the first part of a larger exploration.

Parents, give this book to your kids!
I recently finished reading "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari and decided to read "Unstoppable Us" next. However, I was mistaken in thinking that "Unstoppable Us" was simply a condensed version of "Sapiens." While there are some similarities, "Unstoppable Us" is primarily about how humans became the dominant species on the planet and how our actions have led to the extinction of many animal species. The book details how our ancestors spread throughout the world, leading to the disappearance of other human species and the extinction of several animal species. The book doesn't delve into economics or politics but instead focuses on our relationship with other animals and how we used to live. The last few chapters were particularly sad to read, as they described how humans have caused the extinction of many animals around the world. After reading this book, I felt sorry for what we had done to other animals. However, I think it's essential that we learn from our past mistakes so that we can prevent them from happening again in the future.I highly recommend this book to parents who want to teach their kids about how humans have impacted the world and how we can prevent further damage. The book is written in simple language and has excellent illustrations to help explain the ideas. Yuval also highlights essential ideas throughout the book to make them stand out.

Outstanding!
I almost have no words to write. This is an outstanding secular history/science resource for home schoolers and interested parents and children, alike. Living Book narrative style. Love, love, love both volumes! I have two eight year olds but they are working on the 5th and 6th grade levels. This was perfect.

Absolutely brilliant book!
I bought this book to share with my English tutoring students, but as an almost-40-year old, I can’t put it down. This book is as fascinating as it is beautiful. The author uses kid-friendly language so everyone can understand, and the artwork is gorgeous. I can’t recommend this enough. I will definitely buy volume 2.

Completely absorbing for adult and child. Needs to be read to a 7 year old but is completely comprehensible to that age and it’s a joy to read for the adult involved.
