Our Nipa Hut: A Story in the Philippines

This is a beautiful story about a little girl living with her family in Central Luzon, Philippines. Their home, the Nipa Hut, is also treated like a family member. It lives and breathes, and they care for it through the storm.Richly illustrated and so detailed by Gabriela Larios- there is so much to look at on each page. I also like how the Nipa Hut looks sad when the storm hits and happy when it is fixed.The back matter is so informative, and I really enjoyed learning more about how Nipa Huts are built and Tagalog words!
